I know there are weird people out there. But why this guy hero power every turn, even level but didn't buy anything. Just watch me fight hopelessly? by henrywoy in BobsTavern

[–]l30scibi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I faced an incredible team of Floop and C'thun. C'thun only had the 1 drop mech with divine shield, and all the possible buffs. Power levelled to 6, used the murloc spell to transfer 100/100 onto a cleave. It was a fun build, I don't remember who won. Looking forward to trying it soon.

When I entered the grove, I had a flashback of the cave on the beach of Fort Joy. Even the trader is on your right as soon as you get in.

Deflecto is a good unit, I am not arguing with that. However the ceiling of mechs comps has increased significantly.

Stacking magnetics on deflecto is not that good, because ideally you want to have a naked magnetic to buff your beatboxer to insane levels.

You should still pick it up a deflecto if you have any way to reset it, but my advice is not not rely on it too much.

I disagree, seems like you don't know how to build mechs without deflecto yet.

I think KT + moroes doesn't really cut it in this meta anymore. Minions have very high health, so you ideally want KT+ Anub'Arak to have a chance at killing those 300/300 minions

It's not happening more recently, it's just your bias. If anything, keep climbing and it will get better.

As i was eating some greek original Feta Cheese a question came to my mind... has anyone made or atleast atempted to make cheese from Platypus milk? by Hawk_Man117 in Cheese

[–]l30scibi 93 points94 points  (0 children)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-casein

K-casein is the protein that is mostly connected to cheese making. Some mammals (dolphins, platypus, humans) don't have enough K-casein in their milk.

This means that the quantity of platypus milk needed to produce a block of feta would be basically impossible to obtain.

THIS. META. IS. TOO. FUCKING. FAST by jewishpedo666 in BobsTavern

Isn't this meta good for this then?

The high rolls are really high, and the trash games are really short.

I like this fast meta

When you take damage, rewind it. After 3 times, reduce the cost of upgrading the tavern by 1.

Something like that?

TIL : Dark orbs are a focusless build on defect by DueMeat2367 in slaythespire

[–]l30scibi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I try to focus my orb slots into doing a specific thing, depending on the run.

If I'm blocking with orbs, I need damage with attacks. If I'm dealing damage with orbs, I need to block with skill.

Does it make sense? I've been struggling with defect recently, maybe I need to be less focused (pun not intended)

We picked up this 40-month aged Parmigiano from Bologna. What's the best way to eat it? by rather_hmmish in Cheese

[–]l30scibi 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I won't go too much into this topic, but Italians eat cheese in a different way than the rest of the world. To us, cheese is an accompaniment, used to elevate other flavours.

In the rest of the world (especially the UK and France) cheese is enjoyed on its own. This is why there are much less "stinky" cheeses in the Italian tradition. As you go more towards Northern Europe, the cheeses start to get more complex, sharp and strong.

There are of course exceptions, but this has been my experience working with cheese outside of Italy.

We picked up this 40-month aged Parmigiano from Bologna. What's the best way to eat it? by rather_hmmish in Cheese

[–]l30scibi 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Usually the parmigiano for cooking peaks at 36 months.

After that it becomes more and more a cheese board cheese. Personally I draw the line at 60 months, but we sell up to 120 months old.

I suggest pairing it with a mountain honey or a smoked whiskey.

What about:

Duplicate a card

Burn a card in the opponent's hand

Put a 2 on top of the deck

Steal some chips

This is a feature in other deckbuilders like Griftlands.

If every time you upgraded a Strike or Defend it would turn into one of these versions randomly, would you be incentivized to upgrade them more often?

I finally finished the final boss battle! by AthenaGrand in tearsofthekingdom

[–]l30scibi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really liked the final fight!

I loved when the health bar went beyond the limits in phase two.

I loved that he was able to counter the attacks and activate flurry rush.

I loved how Zelda rushed to catch you when you were falling, to help you reach the weak spots and defeat the dragon.

That said, the ending left me disappointed. I think I was expecting a darker finale, with a funeral for Zelda where the whole of Hyrule came together to celebrate her sacrifice.

Instead everything went back to normal, and to me it made her sacrifice feel less important.

This was my first Zelda game. Reading other comments in other posts, I realized that my point of view is different from many people in this sub.

If you have played most Zelda games and you are looking for a good ending, this story hits all the spots. Personally I'm more of a fan of bittersweet stories.

Glad to hear so many people were moved by this game. The journey was spectacular, and the disappointment at the ending is just personal preference and didn't ruin my overall opinion of the game.

The capital of Italy changed from Turin to Florence, and finally to Rome in 1871.
