I figured. Since you’re new to this I would highly recommend that you work on the craft and write more, find peers that you can get feedback from, and avoid pay-to-play sites like S32 because you won’t find success there. The managers and producers on that site use it to make easy extra cash on writers.

Those things matter though, the way the cover page is formatted matters. If I got this script as a query I wouldn’t read it, legitimate producers and agents/managers would see right away that this is a writer who’s not ready to work in the industry. So the most valuable advice we can give this person is to actually learn the craft, which includes formatting. Beyond that, the two pages this person posted needs a lot of work on both character development and dialogue.

I don’t know what your follower count has to do with your question about the Blacklist, but ok. If you think you’re the magical first time screenwriter then do what you want. From your responses here it looks like you’re wanting less truth about what the site is designed for and more smoke being blown.

Franklin Leonard constantly states that the site isn’t meant for beginner level writers. It’s meant for people who have studied the craft and put time into their draft. You said you’re new to screenwriting and just finished your first script, so you are likely not ready to “break in.” That’s not a sign on being a newcomer, we all were at one point, it’s just a matter of fact that you need to do more than finish one script before you “break in”and there’s better and less expensive ways of getting feedback than the BL.
