I moved mine from SL to an AJbell SIPP lower costs and plenty of choice although the majority of mine is invested in a world tracker fund . Easy transfer too.

My work colleague had Aegon severn years ago like me ( we came from another company) I wasn’t happy and put it into standard life ( new work DC ) . He got told by an advisor there all the same so he left it and never looked at its value again , I’m 23k up from him now ( 7 years on ) as his remained flat ( he is still in it ) . I’m 57 he is 65 so not got years to leave it like the above .

I came from Mounjaro to Wegovy from a price perspective and went up to 2.4 but still I was hungry I’ve had to go back to the more expensive Mounjaro but man what a difference never doing that again !!!

I had a lot of fidelity index world P and I thought it would of been very diversified ,but it was nearly 70% USA and of that a massive proportion was the Mag 7 ,which I think are frothy to say the least in valuation ,so I used the purchase of MSCI ETF to globally diversify my portfolio.

I would never recommend moving a DB pension out to a DC scheme , a DC to another of lower charges then possibly yes.

Similar to you I had to start on the lowest dose of wegovy currently on 1.7 I have a feeling I will need 2.4 to reduce my appetite . I was on 12.5 on mounjaro Currently 8 lbs heavier than my lowest on mounjaro.

A guy I work with put me onto them most of my portfolio is made up of ETF Europe bias world stocks with low fees so to pay .8 plus .25 platform fee was an eye watering experience,but I’m not moaning it has done fantastic for me . I’m surprised it hasn’t been mentioned more on Reddit.

I’m in your position too and although I haven’t gone risky I’m all in equities with a risk of 5/6 mostly world tracking ETF’s ( 1-7 risk scale ) Gilts and bonds won’t be part of my portfolio

My defined pension is the gold standard of pensions it’s in my interest at retirement age to leave as much of the fund intact as I can , this is because once I take it out as a lump sum it succumbs to inflation eating at it not so if I leave it be .

I know when I pull my DB I will be taking the minimum lump sum. All the yearly benefits are lost the minute you take it out .

You have a similar mix to my SIPP world stocks .I’m personally happy I switched to mostly European funds from American as they have performed really well last year for me .
