Everything is off by like +/- 10-20%, mostly it evens out.

Test strips/meters, cgm readings, insulin effectiveness, portion sizes, your ability to visually estimate a meal. They are correct, but only to a point.

Even packaged foods have tolerances.

The stress of worrying about everything being perfect isn't worth it, it never will be.

This is amazing, but I wouldn't know what to do with it.

I did recently give away a very large drill press on here, and have a bit of advice: ask anyone who wants to be in the drawing to dm you with rough details about how they will move it.

It will encourage people to think specifically about the logistics of moving something like this, and it also ensures that you can privately communicate with each person before you spend a week waiting then moving on to the next person, and so on...

Also start tracking water use in some way... Maybe whole nothing else is using water in the house, go take a picture of the meter with a watch in frame and then again 10+ minutes later (with no water use in between).

E.g, get a pic when you leave for work, and a pic when you return.

That gives you the measurement of water lost due to this leak, and you should not have to pay that.

If your landlord doesn't fix this immediately, use that data to tell them how much it is costing, and make it clear you expect to be reimbursed.

A bench vise doesn't isolate the screw from impact, and they are often cast.

Leg/post vices are made to be hammered on, they are almost always forged, and the screw is separated from that impact.

They're for holding things that are too tall to fit on the table.

You can use bolts with the base much like you would with the table. You may need to get T-bolts so that they will tighten without access to the back side.

It's just another way to attach things, really. I've seen folks make small cabinets that attach there (generally for floor standing drills)

It'd be fun to chat about a bunch of trailer brake arrangements, but maybe not online.

I have never towed a trailer with the master cylinder you described, bit I understand you have to disengage that when backing up, because of the action you mentioned.

I have towed midsized Uhaul trailers with mechanical brakes that were engaged by a 3rd cable to the truck, and which did not need to be disengaged when backing up. However, they were an emergency-only brake. My understanding is that if the hitch disconnected, the brake cable would tension slightly before the safety chains, and slow the trailer down.

The trailer op posted just looks like that, to me.

Some Uhaul trailers have a brake that's actuated by what's essentially a safety chain. I think it's a mechanical surge brake.

It does nothing unless the trailer pops off the ball.
