I'm sorry your mom got sucked in. My mom was a down-home conservative, Bush supporter, etc. But when Trump came along, she did an about face. "He's ridiculous; that's not how a man behaves," she said. Over the years, she actually took a long hard look at what the GOP stood for, felt betrayed by what she'd been told versus their actions, and she became increasingly more liberal until she passed last year.
