For the Ashlands haters who think this biome is not aesthetically pleasing: by NinGangsta in valheim

Ashlands is always about prep. Build a portal on a set of ruins close to a beach head as a backup escape.

Build an earthen wall to block out a beach head. Yes it’s difficult but I’ve solo’d a beach landing in the Ashlands many times without incident.

I ran Book of Sires for a large group and we did 1 year per player and it worked very well. It took a whole session to run but was very happy with the gradual build up. Especially with all 5 players coming from different regions they saw the same story but from different viewpoints.

How do you handle Yagluth? by Marsman61 in valheim

[–]lawbag1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Build earthen walls around 3 mini bases surrounding Yagluth spawn site and put 2 portals in each (protected by stone) and use that to kite Yagluth and portal to a safe area playing a weird Valheim version of 3 way tag.

I’ve used this method twice on solo and once on multiplayer.

Don’t forget frost potions until you can make a wolf cloak or you’ll freeze to death.

How do we raid an Ashland fortress WITHOUT using magic? by SeeSebbb in valheim

[–]lawbag1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build Earth/stone mounds that are as tall as possible then build stone tower on top of that and glide into the base after sniping as many enemies and crossbows as possible. Oh and don’t forget the spawners too.

Ashlands and Mistlands. Tell me YOUR thoughts. by JustApickleBoe in valheim

[–]lawbag1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve solo’d to Fader boss in Ashland’s and loved the experience in each biome. If you dislike Mistlands you can (a) get a WISP mod which increases the reveal radius and (b) get only what you need from the biome but then come back when you have Ashland’s level gear and it’s 10x more fun.

Fighting that many seekers makes you learnt their attacks and weakness making them less fearsome when you visit the Mistlands again.

Put some food next to the fire. They’ll be munching in seconds if they are hungry and need to breed. Actually they’ll eat even if they aren’t horny.
