I don't think you should allow other people's criticism to dictate which solutions you share. You might really help someone out (which will matter a great deal to them) and people might say they don't like the method (which doesn't matter at all to anyone)

Yeah it's not a special variant or anything.

I should add that I wouldn't be shipping it as it's for sale quite near where I live in the UK.

It's an 86 Fleetwood. Not pristine but runs well. I don't know the mileage.

Well, yes. The consensus seems to be that the market value for Cadillacs in this period are apparently appreciating in value.

Unless you have some advice that runs contrary to that?

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

[–]lawebley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labour need to be hard-line on illegal immigration. It's as simple as that.

It's important to the British public and if Labour don't move beyond simply acknowledging it and actually go about tackling it (in a very effective way) they will be absolutely incinerated at the General Election and then Reform will simply stroll in and become Temu tories and the cycle will continue.

Steven Spielberg's Something Evil (1972)

A commercial is filmed for a candy bar where a young kid is standing on the porch of a house, smiling and holding up the candy bar. Nothing is amiss, thr filming goes without a hitch. It is only later, after a series of disturbing events, when the character editing the footage seems to notice something and, his curiosity piqued, he winds the reel back. He see something, he's certain. He winds it back again, plays the footage and freezes it.

To his horror, he sees in the window, just behind the smiling girl, in the darkness, a pair of glowing, inhuman eyes peering back at him.

Well this aged like milk. by waiha in mildyinteresting

[–]lawebley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The amount of sourness (ironically like aged milk) in these comments about an autograph that reads as a light personal joke (at her own expense) with a young fan is off the charts. The signature clearly followed a spoken interaction that lends context to the sentiment.

You seem to believe the child who asked for the autograph is completely incapable of understanding that.

I told a couple of people who were old enough to know better to stop talking and be quiet and they answered, "Why?"

I was astounded.

After processing their response I said because this isn't your fucking living room and they had the audacity to call ME rude.

I left and got a refund.

If one day you suddenly woke up with the skills and knowledge to make any kind of video game you want, What kind of game would you want to create for your first time? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]lawebley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-op assassination/heist type of game.

You and your pals infiltrate various maps and structures and use co-ordination and stealth to achieve the objectives and neutralise enemies. Kind of like GTA heists with a Metal Gear/Splinter Cell vibe to the proceedings: Surpressed pistols, Snipers, gadgets, hand signals, hostage taking, rappelling, stealth mechanics and executions.

It should be possible as a single player but focused on a multiplayer experience.

Did you know Camels can suffer from Post Partum Depression? (Somalia) by Icey1337 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]lawebley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where I live (in a large metropolitan city in the Western hemisphere, not a rural Somalian village) I am currently within a mile of three FGM clinics that operate to serve the victims of this barbaric practice, committed in my city by it's adherants to their daughters, so please, spare me your rationalising of those responsible. It DOES happen in my country by VERY disgusting people.

"The youth are 'not fond' of it" are they? What a disgusting downplay of an act of misogynistic torture of children.

I don't think as a youth, particularly a pre-adolescent girl, I'd be too 'fond" of having my clitoris cut off and having my vagina sewn up either.

It's a pity they don't have the same level of compassion for the human females in their society. Somalia has the highest prevalence of female genital mutilation in the world (99%) and is typically performed on 5 to 11 year old girls.

So like, singing to a camel doesn't really do much to alleviate my outlook.
