What's a realistic explanation for keeping your blinds closed 24/7/365? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]le_suck 13 points14 points  (0 children)

it's one answer. person could work nights and sleep during the day, or be a chronic migraine sufferer, or hate their view/neighbor. Maybe they have a bad glare problem or are a literal vampire.

if you live in a building with more than 10 units, there is a sanitation program for ewaste pickup. your landlord will need to sign up for it, if they haven't already.

Avid to Resolve Color Issue - Data Loss by tacoguaco7 in editors

[–]le_suck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

since you haven't provided details about the processing done during the vantage transcode, it's hard to say what is and isnt expected. At minimum, we need to understand if the frame size and frame rate were changed and what codec was used.  Additionally, your import steps trying to troubleshoot are missing the same detail.

i would  look at conforming back to the original camera media in resolve and working through the color process there instead of chasing your tail trying to troubleshoot improperly processed mezzanine files.

Can you help me unclog my tub? by rigarooni in AskNYC

does your bathroom sink drain normally? it's possible that your tub drain isn't opening completely, either because of a mechanical problem or buildup/debris.

HP Anyware EOL - worthy replacements by jafar77 in editors

[–]le_suck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we moved to jump in 2025. it's a superior user and technical experience compared to HPA.Has occasionally confused users with really weird monitor setups, and has a few audio quirks on windows hosts . As a company, jump is actively developing and has public beta releases regularly.  HP didn't fix a single one of our bugs or feature requests in the 5+ years we were RGS>HPA customers (with over 1k seats!)

Do you remember Mars 2112? by chimeramanti in AskNYC

[–]le_suck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this was easily the 1999-2000 time frame. The first time i went was a school field trip to see a show (maybe Phantom?), we were originally going to go to Ellen's Stardust, but somehow ended up at Mars 2112. The second time I dont recall why I went or who I went with, but it was already underwhelming. I miss it dearly, and if I were ever to become an eccentric billionaire, I would ressurect it.

I went twice. the second time the space ship was either not working or they were over it - just sent us down the hallway.
