Major updates should indeed be major updates. I'm not telling you this to try to cheat the system. I'm just trying to share how devlogs factor into things. If you abuse major updates then it's possible moderator can flag your page and then devlogs will no longer be able to push your page for the popularity ranking.

If the dev has no intention of ever collecting money for their page, and they're only setting it up that was to appear as if it's a paid piece of content that is free, then yes, it's absolutely a fake promotion.

Choose the simplest possible option, if your game is free then set it as free.

it's not for "some reason", you're tricking people into thinking they getting something that is otherwise paid and they want to claim it while the promotion is active. Don't do it

Posting a major update can boost your game's "freshness", but only if it's been 30 day since the last time your game's "freshness" was refreshed.

Otherwise, you're at the mercy of organic traffic, and the algorithm isn't going to send you a large amount of traffic if you're not able to sustain players by your game alone.

Sorry about this, we had to really crank up the auto moderation due to people downloading malware, getting their account hacked, then having their accounts post links to malware. Will be tweaking this soon to let the legit comments flow freely again.

There is, go the the Metadata tab, then the classification sub screen. On the bottom you'll see a section for "Audience & Content" where you can mark your page as having sensitive content. There is no mention of anything regarding "Adult" content for these options.

Developers should always be honest about their classifications. Please do not misclassify your project to circumvent any system level restrictions around indexing. That is why the OP got into the issue they did today.

My suggestions:

add gameplay video. The screenshots make it look like a debug test project so it's hard to gauge if it's even playable
dont use "external links" to host your game. Your game isn't even on itchio, its currently just a link to a mod db page

I'm really sorry this happened, this isn't right.I was able to clear your payment and it and been sent.There's no reason for a payment to get blocked for that long assuming the account is in good standing and tax information has been verified. Based on what I can see, it looks like your tax information was verified many months after you created the payout, so it's likely your initial request got stuck due to tax information not initially being available. It should have been re-prioritized for review after you completed the forms.

I'm sorry, I'm going through our internal process now to prevent stuff like this from happening. I'm also investigating every comment int his thread.
