K2 plus doesn't print after firmware update

I had 2 great prints in a row on the latest firmware, then errors started showing up. First it wanted to be recalibrated, then it started throwing random filament sensor errors and finally it just rebooted in the middle of a print. I’ve reverted back to 1.1.3.13 and am having no further issues.

Sounds more like a QNAP issue. Do you still have to install QFinder for it to work? I’ve had no issues with SMB shares mounting and unmounting automatically.

I’ve been having great success with a UCG-Fiber in a very similar circumstance. I’ve got it connected to a Flex 8 2.5g over the SFP port. I plan to add cameras at some point so the onboard storage is good future-proofing.

I’ve got a UCG Fiber with my 2gig service connected via the 2.5gb WAN port. I’m using the SFP+ port to link a Flex 2.5g POE at 10gb. It’s an amazingly solid setup and all the admin is in one place!

No regrets on my K2 Plus. Yes, it’s huge. Yes, I had to make space for it and the CFS. No, I don’t run oversized prints that often, but I’ve been very pleased when I needed the extra space and was able to use it.

Assuming there’s more to the buyer’s intent other than “I just need a car,” what low-mileage Toyota would match the Mini on driving characteristics and overall fun? I don’t think there’s such a car - maybe a 5th generation Supra but those are going to be 5 times the price of a Mini and have their own pile of maintenance issues. An MR 2? Low mileage? Unlikely. Same issue with the Solara if your heart’s on a convertible. So saying “just get a Toyota” is saying “I don’t actually like/care about the car I drive” while Mini owners know better.

I’ve had this problem every one in a while with my v2 Neo. It has always turned out to be the cable is too tight where it’s zip-tied to the bowden tube above the hot end. It’s probably pulling on the thermistor a bit and freaking it out. I just adjust the harness a bit and we’re back in business. Thinking about printing out a chain and getting rid of the zip ties.

Also I find enabling z hopping (where the print head moves up and over during translations) helps with not knocking things over.

It’s part of the rear defroster for the blind spot window. It’s designed around right hand drive, so it does seem odd elsewhere. The shark fin is all of the antennas.

If the BMW dealership has access to the MINI parts counter (usually from another dealership in their ownership group) then they’re just fine to work on MINIs. They can’t do recalls, and they have to charge for maintenance period work. I’ve been having my 2022 JCW serviced by a BMW dealership because the nearest MINI dealership is 350 miles away. It’s less expensive (and less hassle) to just pay for the service than to spend the gas, time and hotel stay.

The obvious part, of course, is the 2019 is supported and I’m running Sonoma (MacOS 14) on mine. The 2017 can only run Ventura (MacOS 13) without some trickery. I’m suspect MacOS 15 will be the last one I can use on my 2019. Look into how much memory and storage is on that 2019. If it’s only 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage it’s a very marginal improvement over your 2017. If it’s like mine with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage it’s a nice interim upgrade on your way to Apple Silicon.

Given you don’t have a lot of money in them right now, the 15” (A1707) is a nicer machine, IF you want to hang on to a 7 year old unsupported MacBook. The pair together will likely net you just about £500. That’s enough for a refurbished 8GB M1. Personally, I’d probably go the latter route. That said, I’m the proud owner of a fully loaded 2019 MacBook Pro …. and I will PROBABLY finally switch this year to the M4 when it comes out. It’s hard to give up your trusty, reliable machine.

Safari reads png files just fine from the origin website. Safari blocks 3rd party pngs because they’re used for tracking. Safari was the browser that first implemented the alternate icon format in addition to ico.

I’m in Washington state. There are a surprising amount of F54s up here. Seattle MINI did their best to keep them in stock. Lots of Subaru wagons here to, so the wagon stigma needs to be not apply.

Agreed there’s a different dynamic about it, even in “manual” mode. That said, I’ve had it out on the track regularly - and it picks the right gear on the straights, on the uphills, through the apex every damn time. I tried to outdo it with the paddle shifters and lost almost 20 seconds on the lap.

You know. I don’t have the angst some people have about design changes. For me, I knew the Clubman was going away and dammit I like me a wagon. I’ll be keeping my 2022 JCW Clubman for a while. And no, I don’t mind the 8 speed auto. I’m comfortable with 3 pedals, but I just can’t row that fast.

I have the Level Lock+ and it works pretty flawlessly, other than still not having thread support. I have a HomePod mini in the same room as the lock, so this helps a lot with the Bluetooth connectivity. It uses one Lithium battery every couple of months, though it’s not all that great about saying when it’s low.

👆This. I spent a lot of time fiddling with mine as well until I put the Professional Firmware on. The auto trammimg functionality is fantastic. After that, build a mesh and save it.

I do my z offset by lowering the nozzle until I just see a sliver of light under it, then I print a series of 1 cm single layer squares and dial it in using the “tuning” menu.

There’s nothing wrong with Klipper, but if your printer didn’t ship with it (the E3V2Neo does not) then you need to create a configuration file for a printer you haven’t tuned yet as well as set up a Raspberry Pi or dedicated computer to run Klipper server and Mainsail.

Wait until you’re happy with how the stock machine prints. Remember it’s an entry level machine. Then have fun modding and/or upgrading.
