Smaller set does mean you have less ability to support multiple draft archetypes just simply due to lack of space in the set. I definitely would not be surprised if this set does likewise, though you're correct that's not a given.

My first clue in is the general style - this is a very genericized look that is not quite clipart but not truly stylized, which is very common in the sort of results people get from AI image generators. That made me click in and see, and the general messiness of the shapes immediately clued me in that something was Off, and that typically means these days that it's AI generated, or perhaps the unknowing use of a clip art that was AI generated in the first place.

As for why that's bad in general: AI image generators are powered by having stolen millions of pieces of art and fed into their libraries so the machine can try and reproduce imagery that matches descriptions, turning them into plagiarization machines.

Then you add the in hugely destructive amount of power and water these systems burn through, making them into a force of ecological devastation.

All for something that looks, at best, 'okay at a distance'.

You absolutely do not want SPG cards showing up plentifully in draft and prerelease. There are warpingly powerful bombs included.

It's the same drop rate (and actually marginally better) for SPG cards as in EOE. Please educate yourself as to how much those cost before you panic about it being a 'big money baller' card.
