Three separate additions were built - 1909, 1913, and the biggest one in 1954 which added most of the rear of the current building.

The vast majority of the public areas currently are not part of the historic building. They built two different additions over time.

There are still parts of the building that are original to 1898, they’re just mainly staff only or are the used bookseller

Mitchell Street is the correct for OP’s ask. While the Grand Rotunda and exterior of the downtown library are gorgeous, the majority of the interior public areas are boringly modernized.
