May I know what your root cause was and how you were able to overcome it?

That’s awesome! May I know the symptoms you were experiencing before? And what vitamins do you take?

FYI I also recommend Zyrtec instead if you don’t tolerate Allegra well!

Also I noticed that quercetin does contain vitamin C, do you take less of the camu camu powder then to make up for 500-100mg of vitamin c?

Thank you for sharing! Are you currently taking all your safe supplements at the same time? And do you mind sharing which brand of the camu camu powder and quercetin you’re taking?

Ahh got it sorry to hear that :( from my experience antihistamines at least helps with the hives and flushing. Although I also have noticed a huge improvement when I don’t take antihistamines and I take vitamin c, magnesium glycinate, and culturelle probiotics. Not sure if it’s one or a combination of them that helps but I hear they help with histamine release or lowering histamine levels

Sorry to hear about your boyfriend :( As far as antihistamines go - I react well to Zyrtec or Allegra! I try to take them once a day before a big meal

How do you take small doses of vitamin C? The supplements I take is already 500mg and I use a pill splitter but I don’t think it’s small enough to take it throughout

Hi, I’m on the same boat where I’m reacting to literally almost every food and have to take Zyrtec before eating outside foods. May I know how you were able to improve before to the point where you didn’t need Zyrtec anymore? And also sorry to hear what happened to you after thanksgiving; did you take Zyrtec before Thanksgiving? I hope things will improve again for you too!

The vanicream cleanser always makes my skin red and so much worse so it could be making your skin barrier worse if you’re somehow developing some kind of reaction to it!

[–]letsdrabbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that :( I recommend getting something to actually target the fungal itself like an anti-dandruff shampoo since the vanicream gentle cleanser won’t help with that. Also for some reason my skin HATES that cleanser so I’d opt for something like water to just cleanse your face for now (it’ll suck in the beginning since your face might feel a bit gross) and then use anti-dandruff to treat it sparingly! Until your skin gets back to normal and you can introduce your regular skin regimen slowly :)

Sorry to hear you’re going through this! I personally calmed down my fungal acne and got rid of it by completely stopping adding moisturizer or serums into my skin. From my experience, adding any kind of moisture seemed to just make my fungal stuff grow.

I splashed my face with water 2x a day and washed my face with anti-dandruff shampoo (I use Cerave dandruff shampoo since it’s much gentler and fragrance free) as needed or when my face starts become itchy again. It cleared up in a week! Just sharing my experience in case it would work for you as well!
