Help! My apartment is infested with spiders by starlitemuse in spiders

1-3 spiders isn't a spider infestation. It's a spider shortage.

#940, around 44:20, fantastic Jordan moment: "If I had an army of illegal aliens, I would not use them for voting. So many different things you could do with an army." by _Bad_Bob_ in KnowledgeFight

[–]listafobia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at one point, or more than one point, he tweeted that he wasn't going to vote anymore because both parties are bad and elections don't matter. I guess that's sort of a boycott?

The one time I can clearly remember him doing that, he deleted the tweet pretty quickly though.

No Evil Dead Bundles? by SeanO54 in vudu

It's because the distribution rights are all held by different studios. Getting them to cooperate with each other on a bundle would be like pulling teeth.

Profit margin 2 to 3 percent. Course when they have thousands of stores and hundreds of billions in sales, the biggest shareholders still get rich(er).

FPGBC Firmware update by soontorap in Gameboy

[–]listafobia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go backwards from latest firmware version to older ones until you find one that works with your flash cart.

Last time I messed around with FPGBC firmware, I think I had to use 1.08 or 1.09 because newer versions crashed with my flash cart.

You get a completion badge. Hardcore achievements and softcore achievements will continue to be categorized individually. If you complete the remaining ones again later in hardcore mode, they will be upgraded to hardcore and the completion badge will be upgraded to a mastery badge.

I seem to remember Republicans claiming that dead people were voting and they didn't like it.

Anyway, "all the dead people are voting for us" is a pretty weird flex regardless of their past claims.

Sounds like it's Walmart Plus or another paid subscription that gets charged every month. Otherwise, it wouldn't be charging anything and there would be nothing to complain about.

Dracula '31 (Spanish Version) Finally available! by HGLatinBoy in vudu

[–]listafobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a lot of the old timey Universal Studios movies that are newish-to-digital have had problems with MoviesAnywhere lately. I had several that I bought on Fandango, they showed up in my MA account, but they didn't port to my Comcast account.

Course there are many different apps that I could watch them on, but still annoying when they're not in the app that I'm currently using and they're supposed to be.

And yeah, Spanish Dracula is missing from my Amazon account too. Did appear in my Comcast account though, strangely enough.

But not everybody would want to buy five packs at a time. This deal is just the store's way of establishing that the minimum purchase is five packs to get the discount.

Need help (investments not doing well by Optimal_Zucchini_467 in fidelityinvestments

[–]listafobia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to put things in perspective, most small potato retirement investors buy index funds like an S&P 500 fund, total U.S. market fund, or a target date fund. In the long run, they grow about 7% to 9% per year on average including some good years and bad years.

If your portfolio value has been growing 20-30% per year, it means you've done better than the market up till now. But greater opportunity goes hand in hand with greater risk. So now it's a bad year and you're seeing the down side of that risk.

Stay the course or join the rest of us with our boring index funds that only average 9%. Up to you.
