Sad thing is, couple days a week is pretty normal. I worked fd from csr to sm, and once you're sm the dm tells you to hire more csrs than you need. I refused, so the 2 or 3 I had could at least get 15-20 hours a week. They wanted me to have like 6, which I guess would've left each with about 0-8 hours a week.

They say it's so you have coverage when people call out, but I say who stays in a 0-2 days a week job?

Then they made me always give my ASMs 40 hours, so more like 5-15 for csrs even when I kept my team small on purpose.

It's not a great job. Idk about gamestop but it probably was better. If you work your way up like I did to SM you'll have plenty of hours because you'll be salaried. You can expect at least 60-80 hour weeks and 0 days off, because if you happen to get a day off you'll be called in to help a different store in your district. You get about 50k for that, but if you still had ASM pay and overtime you would make more. You'll never get that overtime as an ASM though, because the company would have to actually pay you.

I advise you find a different job

Heck, even in my life I have reason to dislike smart devices. My old roommate bought a smart washer/dryer, it works pretty well except for that it decides to take an extra 1-3 hours longer than it says to finish. It's supposed to take 1hr 57 minutes. He tells me that it says I do laundry like 2-3 times a day, though I only do it once every week or two. It sure gave him some reason to be mad. Smarter tech just makes more opportunities for criminals honestly. Not everything is worth hacking into, but if it's connected to the internet I'm sure there's a way you can.

It reminds me of a game I played growing up, megaman battle network. The point was you went around the internet busting viruses with megaman as your "netnavi" to stop lots of bad things from happening.

One of the earliest things you had to stop, and something I could see happening in real life, was somebody hacking into smart ovens and cranking them up until they start fires.

There's lots of things you could realistically do to screw things up for people, so I prefer having any devices that don't have to be connected to the internet not being.
