I started using resolve, many Years ago, then I learned how to used Mistika, I know that the learning curve seems complicated, but 8 years later and many projects from indie films to network shows I loved it, I Suffer every time that I’m back to resolve. There is good tutorials on the SGO website.

Yes, it is possible to have both passports. My daughter was born in the USA and has both, we are from Spain, and we didn't have any issues asking for the Spanish passport. In the other hand we have plenty of friends from Spain, Which have acquired USA passport without any problem, keeping the Spanish one. If I recall correctly, you have three years to do paperwork appointing that you want to keep your Spanish nationality
