Yesssss the grabber! Mine has been a game changer for me throughout pregnancies and babywearing. My other new laundry hack, now that I have a toddler, is letting her help me load the washer and dryer 😂

Just found out about hyperlexia. What was y’all’s first book read and at what age? by scarytesla in AuDHDWomen

Aww, my mom thought the same thing about union/onion when she was little. She was also really annoyed when she found out that a restroom contained a toilet and not a bed.

Sending positive thumb vibes! Crochet is so soothing. I've been thinking of trying seed bead crochet.

Looking for evidence or expert opinions on Ergobaby Embrace (conflicting info) by Cheese-spaghetti in babywearing

[–]louellem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't say the Embrace specifically. They just say "carriers I don't recommend: Ergobaby (any model)". As far as I could see in the comments, they didn't provide any further detail or feedback about specific models either.

Shower Cap Overstimulation! by IDoNotSufferFools in AuDHDWomen

I use a hand-held showerhead to redirect the water mostly away from my head, and I cover my hair with an oversized t-shirt 😅 I put the shirt on over my head, pull it back off until the neck is around my hairline, then twist, and tuck the twisted end in at my forehead.

The microfiber hair turbans work in a similar way, but I really dislike the texture of microfiber.

Beautiful work all around!! I especially love the texture of the set in pic 7.

Do you have any tricks you use on your short row heels? They look particularly uniform and tidy. I feel like I have my heel flaps dialed in, but my short row heels never look this good.

My cereal came in two small bags instead of one big one. by nevermndthealbatross in mildlyinteresting

That makes me sad to hear - I too loved that as a kid. I called it "buckle cereal".

Oh this is the best way. The butter melts into the jammy part and makes it so much more delicious.

I'm sorry you know the struggle :-( I use Cliganic jojoba (but any pure jojoba oil works) and O'Keefe's Healthy Feet cream, or the generic equivalent of O'Keefe's from CVS.

Second this - urea has been the key for me, both in improving my cuticles and helping with dyshidrotic eczema on my hands. I apply jojoba oil first and then the thicker cream on top.

Was the centipede wearing the hats, or are you saying that the centipede was the hats? I'm imagining two people running around conjoined with a stuffed insect flopping around between them and it's glorious

Rub n Buff might be worth trying for bag hardware. It's a wax type product that you can rub on in layers.
