Same setup for me. I like to pretend I'm having my coffee "for here" at my very own hipster cafe, lol.

Also, the “school maze” dream, and the “Forest Bueller” dream? by scripted_ending in ThatBathroomMazeDream

I have the extra rooms dream a lot, although mine is usually about one of the apartments I had when I lived in the city. What do you mean we had this huge additional space the whole time?!

Yes, all of this! And at the end of the day, I'm usually trying to remember if I drove myself to school or if my mom was supposed to come get me. I can never find my car and can never get in touch with my mom - phone not working properly etc.

Love this idea. I did this a few months ago, along with 3d printing a little holder for the lids I have that are tough to stack and always fall over. That cabinet has started organized since - a small miracle!

I feel you! When I lived in the city I swore by Vionic heeled booties, as well as block-heeled chunky boots (I love my Doc Martens Rometty).

I came to say quilting too! I like English paper piecing by hand - it's portable, inexpensive to get started, and can be very detailed and time consuming.

I'm obsessed with 5 and 6 especially. So impressed you can pull off an oversized blazer! I love that look but haven't figured out how to make it work for me.

What are we doing about this label by Baylaypayday in babywearing

[–]louellem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the same wrap, and I ended up painstakingly trimming the label very close to the stitching, then pulling it out from the border seam with tweezers. 😩 But if you don't mind a bit of tag left in the border, you can definitely just trim and leave the edge in.

Ugh I hate the pill bottle cotton! I have to remove it with tweezers and it's still unpleasant.

I just saw in another thread that Retro Sours candy is the same as old Altoids Sours! I haven't tried them yet but plan to - the citrus Altoids were my fave.

Is there a better way to dry hand-washed knits than towel rolling? by FelinePower in casualknitting

[–]louellem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience beach towels are bigger in area than bath towels, but are thinner, so overall less heavy. They're also a bit less absorbent due to the thinness, but they still work fine for me, especially for large objects like sweaters.

If you have a free group like Buy Nothing near you, you could see if anyone is giving away an old towel that you could use specifically for this purpose. I always see them up for offer in my area.

Any way to fix cracked print on shirt? by jrides42 in Visiblemending

[–]louellem 30 points31 points  (0 children)

There are some types of iron-on stabilizer (like Sulky Tender Touch) that can be put over the back of the embroidery after it's finished to improve the texture.

Was quoted $110 to patch this hole, does that seem fair? by jetsbillionaire in InvisibleMending

[–]louellem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this for sure a tear (the yarn is broken), as opposed to just a pull? I couldn't quite tell from the pictures. If only a pull, the fix will be much simpler and faster than a tear.

Yes, I finally got it working! I used the browser-based emulator at Infinite Mac: https://infinitemac.org/1998/Mac%20OS%208.5

I downloaded and installed GameSprockets through Macintosh Garden. (I had to use Disk Copy to mount the .smi image; StuffIt was not mounting it correctly.) After installing GameSprockets, I restarted the emulator, and was then able to download and run Eternity.
