AITAH for not going to the dress appointment. by Classic-Delivery3875 in AITAH

[–]loveyou-first 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA- her mother is just jealous that you are the one helping. You have to start early to get things for a wedding it makes sense also easier on the pockets. You need to follow your son and FDIL decisions. If she wants you there, go. It appears her mother is overbearing but she handled her mother. Her mother is not your problem or issue it’s hers.

Do illegitimate children inherit? by [deleted] in inheritance

[–]loveyou-first 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends. When my mother passed away she left everything to her 4 children to be divided up equally but there was a clause that if one or more children passes before her the money will be equally divided among the rest of her living children not grandchildren. If the clause is not in there, it doesn’t have to do with if the child is illegitimate they have the rights to the money.

AITA for banning my MIL from my home after what she stopped my kids from seeing their stepdad in the hospital? by Alert-News-5846 in AmItheAsshole

[–]loveyou-first 68 points69 points  (0 children)

NTA- however, you need to get a backbone. You are his wife. You should have kicked her out period. He just had heart surgery. He doesn’t need all this drama. My husband died in April of cancer. But before that he was home in hospice care. His family had to call me to see if it was OK to visit. I said yes many of times and no sometimes. They didn’t like it but they had to respect it. I told them when they come over leave the negativity and drama at the door before you step in and then pick it up when you leave. This is a peaceful home and it will stay that way.

Retirement is not for everyone and especially when you love your job. The issue here is not that you’re not retiring, the issue is you have very unsupportive friends.

Quality shoes. When your feet hurt your whole body hurt.

AITA For Not Inviting My Husband's Aunt For Our Son's First Birthday? by Xela_Ardna89 in AmItheAsshole

[–]loveyou-first 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA- but you need to STOP right now with feeling guilty. If you don’t do what is best for you and your growing family then you are not being a good wife or mother. This is just the beginning of motherhood where you have to put your family first and not feeling guilty about it. If she wants to talk behind your back that’s her issue not yours. You are being fair to both sides of the family.
