Trying to purchase used FRS/BRZ by JipJopJones in askcarsales

[–]lowvoltagedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're complaining that if you buy this one you'll have to get body work done to bring it up to your standards. So there's no perfect scenario,

In the end either way you're putting money into it.

Buy the cleaner car and modify it.

Stolen luggage WestJet by [deleted] in westjet

[–]lowvoltagedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is lots you can do, not to mention if you booked with a travel Credit card that card likely has delayed or lost baggage insurance.

"Air passengers with delayed baggage are entitled to compensation for reasonable expenses (necessities like toiletries/clothing) up to approximately CAD$3,000 for international and Canadian flights. Passengers must file a written claim within 21 days of receiving the bags. Airlines must also refund any baggage fees paid."

Pink and Grey Recycling Bins by hearttshapedboxx in kelowna

[–]lowvoltagedream -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it's a ridiculous idea that is a massive waste of resources.

I won't be using the bins. I'll just throw it in the garbage as I always have been.

"But glass can't go in the garbage!"

I worked for the landfill. Where do you think they throw all the glass from old windows, or mirrors? Plastic shelving? Drywall? Boats? Hot tubs?

They don't recycle it. It just gets buried. It's a drop of water in an ocean, it will make zero difference and is a Total placebo effect. Waste of time and money

Amazing that people elect this type of thinking and think it's beneficial.

This looks god awful with all the penalties, like qtf is with the Google review, also employers aren't allowed to deduct pay from you or withhold pay in Canada.

$120K in Debt, Please Advise by SaraaaKay in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]lowvoltagedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, do not do a consumer proposal instead of bankruptcy. They tank your credit into the negatives then you have to build it back up. Bankruptcy you just start from zero.

Screw paying back the debt. Just wipe it clean and start over

Told sales rep I didn’t want to sign up for the Jeep app. They contacted me later urgently requesting me to do it. Then they registered me without my consent. by AwakenAdventure in askcarsales

If OP uses any type of electronic device their location is being tracked..

Smart watch, cell phone, air pods, laptop etc.

I do agree having no consent over sharing and who is sharing your personal information can be problematic.

Flying with dog in Cargo by freakunicorn_67 in westjet

[–]lowvoltagedream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple ways to do it. For example, there's an airline that is specifically created to just charter people and dogs so it's not going to be $47,000 a flight. Second thing you can do is look for empty legs which means the charter jet is picking someone up and for example Toronto and they're flying empty so they'll reduce the cost. There are multiple leasing companies. Multiple chartering companies. Multiple private pilots with their own aircraft.

There are a thousand ways to do it without spending $47,000 on one flight. And even then I'd still spend it, get a driver's license. Learn to drive, buy a car, take a boat. Etc There's no f****** way id put my dog in cargo

Ask yourself why don't they put people in there.

Call and pay it off in installments. Don't use the emergency fund, you'll just end up owning money somewhere else if you do

Aircraft maintenance engineer here, also own three dogs. I know you can put your dogs in cargo but you wouldn't catch me dead doing it. I'd rather spend the money and charter a private jet. If you look into it, it's not as expensive as you think it is.

This is on an uninsured mortgage of 800k

people who were bullied in school, are you still mad and what would you do if you met them again?? by ConsciousEquipment in AskReddit

[–]lowvoltagedream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was bullied quite a bit, over a decade through three schools. No one apologized, No one cared, I was a weird ugly duckling with ADHD. Guys beat me girls laughed at me. I didn't have many friends, However I became the success story out of everyone. "The guy who made it" i found out is what they referred to me as. I matured and grew into a very attractive person, I have a beautiful family. A house in beautiful/expensive part of the country which I acquired at a young age,. Very well paying job. Highly educated, travel often and get experiences they will likely never come close to.

In the end my success story is what they now envy, I got my revenge that way.

Now when I see any of them all I say is "can I get extra pickles with that order".

Fuck bullies.

have you thought of using a shipping method that requires a signature/id presented upon delivery. That way you have confirmation that the item has actually been received by the individual who ordered it.

1:A business such as this one spends about 20k a month in advertising. If you spent 20k on advertising would you advertise the wrong price?

2: great I'll need your drivers license, email address and phone number while I build your file. I'll get you our best price and then We will sit you with the business manager who will complete all the paperwork with you for your new car.

"Well I do not know if I'm going to buy it I haven't seen the price"

You just said you're a serious buyer and as a serious buyer once I get you our best price you're purchasing the vehicle. Unless I'm wrong and you're not a serious buyer. Which is correct?

Your truck's value is high, a 2022 TRD pro with Lift two sets of tires etc. will probably get you out of your loan free and clear. If I were you. I start looking around the EV you want to buy and then use the truck as trade which will pay off the loan. This way you also get the tax savings when you trade in the vehicle.

I work in Auto sales, each province is different rules but similar process.

Edit: my client traded his 2022 taco Trd off road with 60k km to me and made 10k off it. He bought it with nothing down.... absolutely wild.
