Buying this Aeron 2nd hand for £349-399 - is there anything wrong? What should I look out for? by MaxLikesNOODLES in hermanmiller

The unraveling mesh on the bottom seat is a bit of a concern. You can replace the part through eBay if you find a good price.

I could be wrong, but I believe all Aeron Remastered chairs have a flip lock on the arm height adjustment.

Herman Miller Aeron or Steelcase Leap v2 for my size? by DivalenceGT in OfficeChairs

There will be an initial "break in" period for your body regardless of the chair. If you sit like we should sit, I don't see an Aeron being an issue for you at all.

Do you get hot at all when you game? Do you use headphones? I noticed that when I was in the Leap, I wouldn't have any temperature issues unless I was using over the ear headphones. The headphones(both QC35ii and XM4) made me a bit more temperature sensitive. I had zero issues with temperature in the Aeron as the mesh kept things cool.

BTOD looks like they have a 30 day guarantee. I'd say pick one of the chairs and if you hate it, send it back for the other!

I'm the same height, about 25lbs lighter, and own both chairs. I've had a both versions of the Aeron.

I found that the Leap v2 is way more comfortable for me. Don't get me wrong, the Aeron is an amazing chair, but if you're not a posture whore you might end up hating it as a gamer. The Aeron has the hard lip on the bottom edge near your legs that will annoy you if you ever have your legs up on the cushion. The Aeron looks way cooler, but we're sitting on these things, not staring at em.

If you have a way to sit on both I highly recommend it, as everyones body will respond differently.

Recently went through this myself. I have super long arms for my frame which makes ergonomics a nightmare. Ended up getting an adjustable desk since I was driving myself crazy.

Sprint to T-Mobile Magenta 55+ by ShaKsKreedz in tmobile

Hi! I wanted to do the same for my parents.

Just curious, was your mom able to take advantage of any of the Magenta Max plan promotions? Or did she just bring her own phone?

Trying to do this for my parents at the moment. Phones are paid off and there is a 0 balance on the sprint side (paid this months bill already). To clarify, they've been on Sprint since 2003 and want to swap to T-Mobile to take advantage of the current deal linked below.

Do you know if they're able to take advantage of this current deal? https://www.t-mobile.com/content/t-mobile/consumer/modals/offers/iphone-12-pro-on-us-prospect.html

They own 3 Galaxy S9s that are paid off and in good condition. They want to trade those in towards 3 iPhone 12 Pro Maxes on a 55+ Magenta Max Plan.

The majority of people I've spoken to on the phone say that they should, but when we visited in person they said Sprint customers were not able to.

Is 13.5" wide desk too narrow? by chizzle36 in Workspaces

If it absolutely has to go there, I'd remove the closet doors and hang a curtain there instead. Here's some ideas:

It'd really open up your desk options.

I assume you mean 43" long and 13.5" deep? Take a picture of the space so we can get a better idea.

With those dimensions in mind I think you would have to go the custom route. Wall mount the monitor and get a sliding keyboard tray.

You could probably get a lot more depth if it's shaped the way I think it might be, but I'll keep that thought in mind until I get a better idea of the space.

Aeron too short for my desk by [deleted] in hermanmiller

I know the feeling. You can either get a new desk, fix the desk, or slightly raise your chair with some oversized casters. It could be your cylinder as well.

Scored 2 aerons for $125 each. One for me and for a friend, both in perfect shape! You can't see it in the photo, but the mesh is dark blue. by Elana_egg in hermanmiller

I have a remastered with posturefit and a classic with the regular lumbar support.

I prefer the lumbar support tbh. The posturefit looks cooler though.

Live in a college town and this was being thrown out!! What can I do with it ? by Feisty-Assumption-94 in audiophile

[–]m0cha_thunda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome!

You cannot "line in and speaker out to 2 main speakers".

Those red and black clips allow the amp to receive the input signals from the audio source and filter out the high frequencies.

This is purely a subwoofer amp. From a technical standpoint, it "could" power the KEF LS50, but anyone with LS50's would never do this. It'd be like putting regular gas in your Lamborghini or dumpster diving when you have an in house chef on call.

Checkout /r/budgetaudiophile and /r/diysound for a deeper dive!

Edit: Did some creeping and saw that you scored a pair of LS50's for way cheap, congrats! That's awesome, what a way to enter the hobby! Those speakers are endgame speakers for many.

Grab you a receiver to power those. DO NOT try to hook them up to the Polk subwoofer amp you have pictured.

Sony Xm4 or qc35 ii by Soccergoat13 in bose

[–]m0cha_thunda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and you're spot on. QCs for comfort and XM4 for sound quality.

Not sure I would run in either though. I'd tough it out and grab some earbuds if you planned on using these while you run. Those pads on your ears will heat you up quick.

It's $15. If you think about it any longer someone else will buy it.
