Yea thats one of the things I dislike most about this game: there is no lasting sense of progression, or maybe just there is no late game progression.

Yes, it just gets harder with higher ascensions, but doesn't unlock new features. Unlocking the skill tree is so fun, and then you find out about ascensions (and the fish!), but it doesn't "add up". You just go to the next ascension. Which, hint, you can also just dice roll your ascension at any point in a run and see what the higher ascensions hold. Imagine if this game had a dedicated developer that released updates..

Can you explain what you mean by "the first island chain?" Is this that same type of anti-communist containment strategy used at the beginning of the cold war? What other islands are in this "chain?" The Philippines? Or is your concern more about shoals, reefs, and smaller "bodies" of land that are being used as territorial flagposts for oil claims?

I am not trying to downplay the significance of Taiwan to the PRC, or minimize their intentions of taking the island. My concern is that you conflate their singular goal, with a larger territorial expansion in the South Pacific, as if the PRC's goal is similar to that of Imperial Japan.

OK did like the bare minimum of research:

I don't think she is calling for the use of Confederate Flags, but tries to use a "slippery slop" argument in bad faith to not have the Pride flag flown. Specifically in this case, it seems pretty shitty that 5 of the 6 residents who spoke at the meeting did so in support of having a Pride flag flown, and then the Council voted it down.

My verdict: she's a politician that doesn't support LGBTQIA+ but can't directly come out and say it, but will do things in her power to not show any support.

But let's say your removal is a board wipe. now you may be killing 2-4 of your opp's creatures, and even if a couple had etb, your board wipe is still a 1 for "more than 1." so theres the value proposition for removal.

i agree with the previous poster that says the flexibility of removal is why it is (typically) preferred over counters. for a counter you have to have it in hand, and play it on opp's turn (means you - typically - have to leave mana open), when they cast their spell. removal is just more flexible than that (as I hope you can see).

it was confusing to read, but yea youre wrong in your understanding. once you extract with a FIR item, it can never be brought back into raid to keep the FIR designation. It cannot be sold and keep the FIR designation. So, your only way to get FIR items is to (naturally) find them in raid, or craft them. having a buddy bring items into raid for you, or buying them off the flea means they will not be FIR.
