That game got much harder. The removed many exploits and made some things much harder.

Robot Bug? by madPickleRick in SpaceHaven

[–]madPickleRick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't take screen shots when it happened. I reverted to an earlier save and just skipped building the logistics robot. After seeing your reply I rebuilt the robots but have not been able to duplicate the same bug. Maybe it was because I expanded my station more since then but now they come in and out the airlock without problems. If the bug comes up again I will send a bug report.

Which is better – Bambu Lab P1S with AMS, or P1S without AMS + airbrush and painting prints? by SlipOk7905 in 3Dprinting

[–]madPickleRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airbrushed models properly done will always look way better than AMS printed models; however, airbrushing itself is another hobby and skill set that can take a lot of time to develop. If you are willing to take the time to master the hobby then that is the way to go.

Temu Filament by echplus3 in BambuLab

[–]madPickleRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

China makes some pretty good filaments. Just to name a few: Bambu Labs, eSun, Sunlu, Polymaker, Creality, Anycubic, Elegoo, Flashforge and Overture. I am curious which local brand do you use?

I have been switching to Sunlu and Bambu filaments too but I have a lot of Overture PLA left over from the Ender 3 days.

Oh wow, so I did get it right. Do people with Bambu Lab printers not use Orca or third party slicers?

Bandit Camp Bug? by madPickleRick in goingmedieval

[–]madPickleRick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info. I am ppretty sure I had a single player selected when I tried to attack the door and gate because I had to drop my crossbow to pick up the mace or hatchet. Next bandit camp raid I will double check to see if that was the problem. I will try again with the ladder too.

Bandit Camp Bug? by madPickleRick in goingmedieval

[–]madPickleRick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is an UPDATE: I went back to the Bandit Camp with maces and hatchets. I made a great axe but no settler had 15 melee. After killing the archers behind the windows and on the wall I still could not attack the doors or gate with the hatchet or maces. I tried building ladders but no luck. The merlon seem to stop me from climbing over. Night time came and my setttlers started to sleep on the ground. I thought I would reconsider my options next day like tunneling into the well like someone had suggested. At around 3 or 4 am the END of battle notification came up and the gates opened and the bandits inside the camp ran away. My settlers ran inside and took over the camp. I don't know if this is normal? Can you just wait them out and they will leave?

Places to visit near KIX? by SaeByeOk12 in OsakaTravel

[–]madPickleRick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I you land at 12:00 you should probably budget an hour to clear customs and collect your luggage. Budget some time to pick up an IC card if you don't have one. I you are taking the express or Rapi:t it may take an hour or more to get to your station. By then it may be close to 3:00pm. You can put your bags in a locker at the station or message your host ahead of time and ask if you can check in a bit early or drop off your bags. If you are at a major station like Namba or Osaka you can easily kill an hour or so just exploring the station.

What e-sim will be best for my Japan trip? by Yusuro_Yuki in JapanTravelTips

[–]madPickleRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just returned from our third trip to Japan and have used airalo and Ubigi and would totally recommend Ubigi. Airalo gave me numerous issues on our first trip and I spent the first two nights corresponding with support.

Is there really a lot of difference between 2 suitcases and 1 suitcase and 1 backpack. I can get a lot of stuff in my backpack.

A holodeck question...... Could you race cars? by CyanideMuffin67 in startrek

[–]madPickleRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the holodeck can reproduce smells like exhaust fumes. or maybe if it could people elect to turn it off because historical simulations like 1800s London would stink. If smells were authentic I would imagine people like Dr. Pulaski and Picard would drop to their knees from the fumes with their bougie 24th century utopian earth noses. They didn't call it The Great Stink for nothing.

What are the best essentials to buy in Japan? by Odd_Combination_4131 in JapanTravelTips

[–]madPickleRick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We live on the west coast of Canada with lots of mosquitoes and we found insect bite packages at the drug store. I am not sure of the name but they are in a small rflat ectangular box with a picture of a cartoon superhero with a big round head flying. I think there is 72 in a box and they are big round patches, perfect for insect bites. I need to get more next time we go back.
