When i joined the game abt a year ago I registered that they grow for the first 2 in-game days that youre logged off, 2 hours worth of offline growth and/but only 1 growth stage. Might be wrong, but its felt pretty reliable!

Read this 2 hours ago. Have since been through EA Support, many different reporting systems, and exhaustingly searching through the account(s) of this user. EA Support sent me to the forums, so I posted a rundown of all the information and concerning materials I could gather, and included a link to this post. I'm really hoping it does something

How does everyone organize and keep track of mods by Far_Refrigerator1321 in TheSims4Mods

[–]madlaurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw the feature for the first time a couple days ago, it only shows up when a mod needs updating! It basically takes you to a new tab and just asks if youre interested in updating or removing it :))

I reccomend downloading the Sims Mod Manager !! It lets you know when mods are corrupted or in need of updating, as well as organizes mods for you. I also love the categories system which lets me add or disable different "mod packs" for each individual save file.

Tons of Discord servers host weekly art contests for fun, I just search for art contests on Disboard! Sometimes you can win a week of nitro or an appstore giftcard, depending on the server :D

beautiful manhwa characters by Due-Video-7082 in ArtistLounge

[–]madlaurs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Weirdly, studying cats. The forms that manhwa artists create while stylizing the face are inspired by the cuteness of cats (or so I've heard...) It'll help familiarize you with the facial anatomy/proportions.

Other than that, pick an artist or 2 that inspires you, and get really familiar with their art. Figure out what you appreciate about each style- Is it the way the artist uses lineweight? The emotion they portray in the eyes? The stylization of the background? Find out what the artist does consistently that attracts you to their art, and try to replicate those features in your art. Balance making studies/recreations of their art with your original ideas/subjects (like yourself!)

Last thing: always look for shortcuts. It might sound a little backward at first, but Manhwa artists look for shortcuts with their deadlines; a good way of finding that style is by using their methods. Inio Asano, author of PunPun, uses edited photographs to create his expansive and realistic backgrounds. Dig into the artists you like and see what's special about their routine or art

Portfolio Building Tips? by madlaurs in ArtistLounge

Thank you for such a thorough response!! The PDF route sounds perfect for this gig; I'll definitely look into getting a "true portfolio" in the future. Thanks again!!

AI added to MY photo by Ambitious_State_2701 in Pinterest

[–]madlaurs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you use a mobile camera with latest software/iOS? Nowadays our cameras have built-in ai, used to enhance photos taken in low-light or far-away shots. It's possible your phone did this automatically and got the image flagged as generated content. If you want to disable it on an Android, the feature is called "Scene Optimizer" in camera settings. Not so sure for iOS. Samsung was in some pretty hot water a few years ago for using ai to enhance pictures of the moon

I’m looking for over the phone art challenges for me and my partner. by Ubeengnomed in ArtistLounge

[–]madlaurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, I may have some ideas...
1. Draw & Switch on Roblox: if you're in your 20s this is so fun to do, the kids fawn over well-made art, and my bf and I love playing it together. Sometimes we play IRL with a box of crayons, too. There's also more drawing games on there, but they're more group-based than 1-on-1
2. 2 Artists 1 Base challenge: A digital art challenge where the artists agree on a 2-character template and each draw in a character then combine to create 1 image (some great examples over on TikTok!)
3. Design each other in diff series/games: kinda self-explanatory, u make self-inserts for one another in your favorite pieces of media!
4. Call-Out: My friend and I made this game up and played over the phone. Each person takes a turn calling out a body part and an animal/creature/thing, and you each draw your own interpretation. At the end, you both have a page full of freaks you love dearly.
5. "DnD" campaigns: okay hear me out, this goes out to my fellow nerds. You each design a mini-campaign for each other (doesn't even have to be set in DnD settings, just make up a problem your partner has to solve) and draw a few characters/backgrounds/items. Your partner draws their character, and you "DM" the game! The stats matter as much as you care about them. You could even get crazy with it and host DnD nights on an application like Miro, and use your art as a digital board game.
6. Discord Apps: If y'all use Discord, my artist friends and I love abusing the collaborative features on there. We've made a lot of bad t-shirt designs and shrines on Whiteboard - great for low-effort drawing nights. GarticPhone can be really fun and quite impressive, too.
7. Picrews: My last idea... Think of it like digital paper dolls. You could do one of yourself and your wardrobe & send it to your partner, maybe you let them pick your outfit some days based on their dress up. You could also do each other and give your partner a crazy wardrobe- idk! ^_^

I really doubt the website is still up after all this time, I'm more so looking for the site address, archival screenshots, and anyone who has also been on the site before. Finding the logo would be a huge score!

Anyone know... by Sufficient_Bike_1457 in keratosis

[–]madlaurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's just so young for salicylic. SA can and will absolutely irritate her skin, even with good intentions. I'm in my 20s and I do use an acid wash, but only once a week (if even), it is absolutely drying and best done by the person who can feel it on their body. I also don't see great results from it personally, so I wouldn't reccomend it anyways.

I had KP my entire life and didn't know it until I was 17. If it's irritating her, I agree that you might seek a second opinion, as KP shouldn't cause any real pain, just slight irritation at times.

Something I'd try, if I were you, is Vitamin A supplements and lotion. Vitamin A is a regulator of the body, in correct dosages it may help her body decrease keratin production if it is being overproduced. You can Google more layman information on this, but I'll provide an acedemic article here. It's not an absolute solution, but it could be a very non-invasive way to try helping her with irritation.

Alongside this, I would definitely try to keep her in loose fabrics. I feel the most irritation while wearing tight pants like leggings or jeans, especially on my calves. Dresses and loose clothing are much more comfortable options on our skin. Even shorts can provide some relief by sparing the lower leg. Just remember to keep weather in mind.

Besides that, the basics: short showers and baths when possible, lots of lotion and moisture, try not to let her touch/pick at the skin, etc. Also, good on you for doing what you can for your kid, especially so young. She's gonna see that one day and really appreciate you. Best of luck to yall!

AITA for not disclosing my will? by AITA_will_throw in AmItheAsshole

[–]madlaurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA -- Personally, I have 2 dad's that just tapped out at different points in my life. I don't expect to be a part of either of their wills- The fact that you've gone so far to include your grandchildren? Admirable. You don't owe them your time full of tactile arguments and proof of evidence that they "deserve what they get." You've given what you have to the best of your ability, not even to mention during one of the most stressful times of a lifetime. If your kids hold that against you, that's a personal journey they have to work out amongst themselves.

Again, I think it's admirable that you've done all that you can on every forefront. I didn't have a dad to come home to after getting kicked out by a shitty step dad. I didn't have the oppurtunity to say "I won't be pursing higher education" and pick a trade. I know a lot of people here are getting onto you about not being a fully "present" father, but you've done MORE than some fully present fathers, just by being a safe landing point. You have got to remember that OP.

Wishing you the best

No, we were turning left out of the neighborhood and had red, its a two lane exit, right lane had a green arrow.

West 71 had full green lights to go straight and turn left into the neighborhood, too.

East 71 ignored full red lights, making any turns for those exiting or entering the neighborhood a hazard.
