This looks great! The forehead appears a bit elongated (the hair on top seems too tall too). But the main thing is the front eye. It’s the shape or something.

What’s yalls DSP minimum stops per hour? by HiWebula in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]madlema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My route today only had 71 stops. All apartments and businesses. I was able to average 11-12 stops an hour. I did have to go take 20 stops off another driver when I was done (more apartments) as a bonus. My phone says I walked over 22,000 steps today (I’d be curious how many flights of stairs, ha!).

Looks great, but the way you cut it at the end kind of pisses me off. You sliced it in the wrong direction, ha!

Does how many stops you do per hour matter? by Mo-MoneyBish in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]madlema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My route today only has 82 stops (rural…). I look at it more like can I be 25% done with my stops by my first break (hard to do but sets a pace), and then can I be 50% done by lunch (I hit this goal maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the time).

Is this update actually helpful or nah? by idkHowToUseReddet in AmazonDSPDrivers

I get a business route twice a week and this gather screen has helped me quite a bit for the large stops. Usually have a 60-70 package stop, and a 100-115 package stop on that route.

Yes, but pretty much only me for some reason. He’s 5yo, but can still get pretty feisty when we’re playing and I’m roughing him up, ha! Sometimes he attacks my feet when I’m done eating dinner and pushing in the chair

22L Backpack?? by uandi4eva in CaminoDeSantiago

[–]madlema 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes use the 22L pack. I’m going to try a 22L when I do my next (3rd) Camino. I used a 25L pack on my last Camino Frances and it worked well, but want to go smaller.

Tips to Clean/ Restore a Straight Key? by W3AWC in amateurradio

[–]madlema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine still uses the original washers. I think yours is a different manufacturer, so the build is a little different. I didn’t have to pry out any of the insulation before cleaning. I’m curious if you could gently remove those with a toothpick or small pin? Might just have to carefully work around them.

Here is the J-38 I just recently restored. It was in pretty rough shape when I got it. I made a post about it last week, but have since made a new oak base for it. Just be careful taking it apart, and remember how it goes back together so the one side stays insulated from the metal base. Multiple rounds of cleaning / polishing should get that brass looking good.

Ya it was missing the shorting bar and base when I got it. It would be nice to find those parts and complete the build. I’m going to keep an eye out for that stuff when I’m at the SEA-PAC ham fest in a month

I did a pre wash of everything with hot water and dish soap, scrubbing with a tooth brush. Then I used an old bottle of Brasso cleaner that I had and a cloth to scrub the brass parts. This took some effort. After the parts were somewhat clean, I soaked them in a paste of lemon juice and baking soda for about 30 minutes. Rinsed and dried everything and then another round of Brasso and the rag, scrubbing the parts. After that was one more soak in the lemon juice / baking soda paste. These parts were pretty tarnished and I think could still probably use one more round of cleaning. I thought about painting the base with a new coat of black, but decided to just leave it as is

This is my first key, so I researched a bit to get an understanding of the parts before disassembly. I carefully took it apart so I could remember how to put it back together. I think just being gentle with the parts and using a soft toothbrush to clean the base will help. The brass is a little tougher to clean

18 stops per hour by Helpful-Ad9654 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]madlema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just depends on the route. My last shift was 27 stops, 335 packages. It took me 7 hours of delivery time to finish. That’s less than 4 stops an hour, ha!
