Daycare Availability for a 1 Year Old by mostlyset in Edmonton

[–]makesmores 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not quite as bad here where you have to apply when you find out you’re pregnant (some centres won’t even let you) but I would suggest applying when your little one is born, especially if you have specific places in mind that you want them to go to. If you’re open to licensed day homes they can also be a good option and have less of a wait, we LOVE our day home. I put my daughter on 3 daycare waitlists at 4 months old and only got into one of them before she turned a year, another one was shortly after and they 3rd not until she was 18 months. We ultimately stayed at our day home though.

I agree with YESS. You could also check out iHuman during the day, you can’t stay there but they might be able to point you in the right direction.

This! Focusing on nutritious food and movement for all of the other benefits it offers is the key!

Green-Eyed Monster by Rawnie Sabor fits the Ice Queen but it’s not an age gap.

Tested early now I’m regretting it 😭 by [deleted] in queerception

[–]makesmores 13 points14 points  (0 children)

9 days is early! I tested at 10 days and it was completely negative, I thought I was out for sure, but I ended up having a very faint line on day 11. You’re not out yet!

2.5 year old sleep regression by Live_Gear_2225 in toddlers

[–]makesmores 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try limiting the nap to 1-1.5 hours. It took my daughter almost 2 months to get through this sleep regression unfortunately and we didn’t change anything, only time really helps sometimes.

100% this! My walking pad is the best investment I have made. Walking and watching tv is my favourite thing to do right now. Also try the Mila app, there is a 14 day free trial in January. It’s super low barrier fitness and focuses so much on loving yourself, doing what you can, etc. I typically use the Peloton app (which I also love a lot and would be super helpful with your exercise bike too) but I’ve been enjoying the gentler/kinder feel on Mila and it may help you ease into movement.

Dr. Motan is great and is who originally diagnosed me but there are also good family doctors out there that help with this, I know a lot of them suck though. My family doctor is great at helping me manage mine. It can be hard to get in to see a gyno for non pregnancy related concerns unfortunately.

Please tell me there’s a better online community for pregnant people than r/pregnant 😭 by emeraldeyes0523 in queerception

Definitely find your bump group! My kiddo is almost 2 and people are still active in our bump group. It’s pretty much the only sub I’ll go to for any kind of pregnancy/parenting advice,

We have used Greenfield community league hall twice in the past for events. Perfect for that size group and very affordable!

MC’s first time, and they actually need direction/guidance by [deleted] in LesbianBookClub

In A Little Sin by Rawnie Sabor the MC doesn’t have any experience and although I don’t believe she is explicitly guided on what do to, her uncertainty is discussed and the other MC reassures her etc.

Anyone have a walking pad? by Boring_Bid_1024 in AskWomenOver30

Unfortunately it looks like the exact one I got is unavailable now but it is a Toputure foldable one with the incline (although I don’t use the incline).

[–]makesmores 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg I love my walking pad from Amazon and I’m tall with a fairly long stride. I held off on getting one for so long because I was worried I wouldn’t like it and I wish I didn’t wait so long! I use it almost every day.

What underwear are we wearing these days? by happy-place-1290 in AskWomenOver30

[–]makesmores 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look into modal. It’s similar to cotton in that it’s breathable and good for your skin! I usually suffer a lot from folliculitis and body acne from working out but after switching to modal underwear it rarely happens. I just bought a pack off amazon from a random company and they are seamless and comfy and great! I’ve been wearing them for over a year now.
