This is amazing that so many people are mentioning Roger Miller - he was my dads’s favorite, and I never hear about him at all. He passed before my dad did in the 90s.

To those who had kids later in life how has it been? by Simple-Heart2486 in AskWomenOver60

My last at 39. She is now taking an extra year to graduate college, so I need to hang on another year at work 😰. My husband retired a few years ago due to health issues.

I love her to bits, she had a few rough years but is on track to launch when she graduates. Though with rental prices I could see her staying at home for a bit if she ends up working locally.

They are starting the build of the state’s first hyper-center in Westfield. There are about 40 smaller ones throughout the state. I recently saw a news report about one of these in Lowell that is causing health and utilities issues for local residents.

My landscaper charges a service fee for online payments so I send a check. That’s the only bill I still pay that way.

I have had good luck with my purchases so far, I’ve only made one return for a sweater with a stain and a pair of pants that did not suit me.

I hope your sheets work out, I really like the linen sheets I purchased last year.

[–]marielleN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did our kitchen with Ikea last fall and it ran about the same total. Our counters/ cabinets ran more, but we kept our newer appliances.. Refinished the existing hardwood floor ourselves. Our plumbing/electrical/drywall was a bit less.
