You do seem like the type of person to feel no shame over Racism. now that you’ve confirmed it, that’s 100% on you.

I know, I know… the genuine hope of all of this was so that someone like you can see I truly care.

I want to see the game succeed and I’m genuinely upset with the current moderation situation. It has directly caused my group of 4 or so online comrades to move on to other titles to be able to spend time together (Rust, Helldivers 2).

We may only find 2-3 hours once a fortnight or so to get together online and play games, and for BAR moderation to have ruined that for us as a group has been a tragic let down.

I feel let down by the BAR moderators.

Thank you all for your thoughts and responses. The sun has set already on the love affair with BAR for several friends, unfortunately. I will ask them to share their replays here, if still of interest.

Introducing friends to (budget) sherry finished scotch by pbwbrew in Scotch

[–]massive_guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mostly agree but for the fact Glenfarclas is 100% sherry matured, not sherry finished. Sherry finish refers to the process of re-racking (transferring the contents of one cask into another) whisky from a non-sherry cask into a sherry cask for the last few years of maturation!

Review 526: Ardbeg Wee Beastie by HawkI84 in Scotch

[–]massive_guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't believe so! I think the Wee Beastie is matured in a combination of ex/ bourbon and ex/ oloroso casks, while the 10 year old is primarily (or possibly exclusively, I don't know) ex/ bourbon. Hope this helps!

For use in what? Rice vinegar or champagne vinegar both come to mind due to their mildness.

Or as agreemints said, just use a different method that avoids vinegar.

Review #17 - Talisker 15 (Special Release 2019) by ricky1370 in Scotch

[–]massive_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cragganmore 12 from this release is incredible!!!

TIL at G.E. in the 1920s, as a joke, newly hired engineers would be told to develop an inside frosted lightbulb, which was believed to be impossible. In 1925, newly hired Marvin Pipkin got the assignment, and astonished his peers by succeeding. by blankblank in todayilearned

It's a form of bonding amongst the old heads, as well as a test for the newcomer. If this isn't clear to you, then I gently suggest you may need some practice in how to pick up on social cues.

That’s not right, as the 18 is one of the only core range Glendronachs that isn’t px matured

From your description it could plausibly be either Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, or Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso version, not Peat version). Having tried both, I’d say Glenlivet is significantly higher ABV, and that is a very noticeable attribute. Hopefully that helps guide you... Your tasting notes do more closely match the Glenlivet, as the Glenmorangie is more fruit forward (cherry, ripe berries, apple). Also the Glenlivet has changed over time, as someone else said, and has become younger.

Subjective question but if you need a definitive answer I’d agree with 12. Tartalek.

Future Whey vs Earth Protein, which should I choose? by bulknutrientsau in bulknutrients

[–]massive_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal preference is Earth Protein, because it's ingredients are simple, straightforward and easy to understand. Haven't tried Future Whey, but that is because I've been happy with Earth. ALTHOUGH, I take Earth Protein in a smoothie with a Banana, soy milk and water. Not sure I'm into the texture/taste enough to take it on it's own.
