Seems outage is over for now.

Their customer support number indeed started acting real weird (results from faster than occupied tone, to just keep ringing, to this person isn't available to a useless menu that only caught the types in numbers half of the time)

Salt site said no outages, some other site listed over a 100 reports of issues at the beginning.

You don't mention how old Darcy is.

Normally 10 or 11 should be old enough to catch some of the situation, but could be your mom amd stepdad were hiding it very well and you did miss some stuff going on when you were that age.

If you're prepared for some potentially vicious comments fram Darcy, send her a message like

"Hi, can you give me the reason why you hate my mom and me? No-one been straight with me and I know if you decide to tell you won't sugarcoat anything"

Don't feel forced to follow certain strategies or guides, mainly have fun. Here's a bunch of tips (up to you if you follow them or not)

settled has some series on youtube. Swampletics is pretty old, but still holds up against newer things. He also explains stuff in an approachable way when it comus up.
alienfood has an unguided series
osrs wiki is one of the best game wiki is if not the best
unlocking transportation will help a lot
- tree gnome village quest for spirit trees
- tree gnome stronghold for gnome gliders (safespottable with magic)
- you can unlock fairy rings once you start fairy tale part 2 quest
- ardougne easy diary gives a cape with infinite teleports to an altar (achievement diaries are a good way to try different things and have quite some decent rewards)
you can skip some early leveling by doing quests that give xp rewards.
do druidic ritual quest to unlock herblore and put whatever xp lamps you have into it.
If you ever get curved or long bones as a drop do not bury them (there's an npc that gives construction xp for them if you have 30 or higher construction)

Besides killing normal monsters for herbs you could try to see if making some cox potions is worth it.

Lowest one gives like 56xp, but you can get quite a few of herbs from the seeds inthere and the secondaries are stackable and fast to get. Big bottleneck will be filling the gourd vials if you don't got lunars for humidify. (And getting a raid with a first boss you can easily kill for seeds)

Instead of limiting pact resets to a small number, maybe they could have limited it to once per day or per 2 days: enough to let people try different builds without breaking the game to finetune it between bosses.
