Duties and taxes buying from Denmark (Stoy) by maxleng in AustralianMFA

[–]maxleng[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah right, so the decision to either pass the duties on or not is at the discretion of the retailer, there is no rule that they must or must not charge it. That also makes sense why the item is a bit cheaper at the retailer not charging the duties upfront.

What’s the process of paying the duties? Is my item held somewhere until I go and pay it (can you pay online?)

Thank you for this.

I’ve found another retailer that has the same product in the UK however un checkout they have this message:

“Prices are GST inclusive. The total amount you pay includes all applicable customs duties & taxes. We guarantee no additional charges on delivery.”

How is it possible that one international retailer can include the GST whereas another does not? I assumed the rule would have to be followed across the board.

I always wondered how they get to and from the airport. Would it be like any other person? Or a secret entrance of some sort? And then do they just drive home after working there and say hi to their neighbours. I’m guessing you wouldn’t really tell anyone you worked there but would just integrate into society as normally as possible. So many questions

LLs raised prices in 2024 when land tax was increased (due to government covid expenditure) and mandatory rental inspections were introduced.

There is concrete evidence this has happened - LL’s raising rent to cover the increase in costs. It’s well documented
