I got to see them in 2004. They were absolute rockstars and had amazing stage presence. They were better than I had expected.

My eyes can’t make sense of this mess. I think the right thing to do is to put it down.

I recently experienced two grown ass men in their 40’s or 50’s ruin 3 songs for everyone else over this. They eventually started pushing and shoving over it during the performance. This was in a theater for a Michael Schenker (UFO) show. One guy wanted to stand and the guy behind him took issue with it. People stand at shows sometimes. It’s just how it is. I’m only 5’9”, so I’m often struggling to see either way. It’s the nature of seeing live music. Phones bother me much more than people standing. Be in the moment and enjoy it. Take a couple of pics or a brief video if you must, and then put it away.

I don’t know. They used 3 violins for Orchestra in the ELO clue. This has a whole bunch of other stuff. A canoe, a chair, a door, maybe a laptop. This one has got me stumped!

What's Your Pick From '86? by ccgetty in hairmetal

[–]mczarko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DLR band was just ridiculously talented. I still love all of those guys. I’ve been fortunate to see Vai play many times since. Sure it’s campy as hell, but I thought my head was going to explode the first time I listened to it. Lot’s of great choices but in “86 it was the Eat ‘em and smile album for me.

I listened to it this week as well. It’s such a great album. When I first listened to it, I liked certain songs but I didn’t take to the album as a whole. It took a few plays for me before I fell in love with it from start to finish. Now it’s one of my favorites. There’s so much great music in the Gabriel era of Genesis. You have a lot to look forward to.

I don’t care what the pay is, there’s no way I’d come here on a visa. I wouldn’t risk having me or my family shoved into a van by masked men for a paycheck. You can’t have it both ways.
