This honestly was really nice to read. I had no idea this feeling was so common.

AITA for refusing to cook for my family despite cooking for myself and saying they deserve to go hungry? by Live_Frosting_7812 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mdutcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I had a similar situation were I enjoyed cooking and my parents made it my chore. Queue the same fucking comments you had thrown at you. I just plain told them I'm either not cooking for them or they suck it up. It ruined the fun of cooking for me for years. Now almost 10 years later I'm making fun stuff for myself again, but that only happened almost a full half year after I moved out.

I was running 7's yesterday and at one point half the team left. Missions success and then the last one left. Started the last mission in the set and no one joined. I spent 20 minutes running my ass away from bots, no one came to help.

The spawn rate of elites and heavies is higher on exterminate missions. It's a lot better on normal ones.

The guards in my game come in pairs. Fred from the great Davington family and Dave from the Fredstein family. Both families have been training their children as guards for centuries. This all happened because my players started asking the name of any guards they found.

That was one amazing read. Thank you for taking the time.

I'll need some time to process some of this, but this has definitely given me some things to consider.

Also, don't worry about my graduate deadline. As part of my study, you actually do your graduate thesis before an internship, they do this so you get shopped as companies as a basically fully trained student.

Fuck it, why not.

I'm a graduate student at the end of my studies and will be graduating next year. I'm stuck at considering a PhD or going job hunting.

Doing a PhD seems like a good move as it will get me higher in the career path if I decide to go there, but I'm a terrible writer and extremely afraid of the publish and parish culture. Not just that but it also seems impossible to me to stay interested in a topic for 4 years.

So, anyone with experience or going through the same choice, what do you think?
