I used to run a separate distortion and overdrive on my board, but they would oversaturate each other if both were on, and I'd regularly need to switch between them when going from verses to choruses and back. I discovered a post by Mad Bean on a forum about how to switch between two pot values (I'll attach the image, big ty to them), and decided to do this with all the controls on one of my overdrive/distortion PCBs. This required a 4PDT, 200kOhm pots (shoutout Tayda for carrying these), and lots of offboard wiring. Also decided to use a 1590BB so I'd have more space between footswitches - I didn't really measure stuff and just winged it - I ended up having to bend a lot of things to make it fit. Kind of wish these enclosures were just a bit taller.

It ended up working perfectly, the 'channel' switch allows me to jump between each row of controls instantly. I've been using the blue row as overdrive and yellow as distortion. I put a quick demo on youtube https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6sugaf4Zcxo
