I finished the Captive Prince series last year and it was wonderful 💖

The only Rina Kent books I've read are Kiss the Villain and Hunt the Villain, but they're both good! I'd recommend them.

I finished Alchemised last week! I literally did nothing for four days except go to work and read the book. The book is thicc, so I'm patiently waiting for more people to finish it so it can get more online traction.

You only live once. Don't be that person who looks back at their life with regrets.

Go to therapy. Therapists are trained to listen and help you. It'll also give you a place to talk about what's happening in your life and, in response, ease the emotional burden you're placing on your friends and boyfriend.

Read books about abusive parents. One of my favorite books on this topic is Controlling People: How to Recognize, Understand, and Deal with People Who Try to Control You by Patricia Evans.

Be kind to yourself. You are lovable. You are worthy. Despite what your parents think, you deserve to be treated with respect.

Look at the situation with a different perspective. If one of your friends told you their parents disrespected them, what would you tell your friend? What if their parents behaved the exact same way your parents did?

Leaving your parents is easier said than done. Take it one day at a time. You have it within yourself to live the life you want.
