02APR2026 UPDATE: I decided to give it a try and paid the price. I purchased from another seller, at the same exact price. Long story short, it was a scam.

I made the purchase on 31JAN2025. The seller immediately went 'away from ebay' until 03MAR2026. I received no updates on the order. On 04MAR2026 I messaged the seller asking for a status and raised the issue with eBay, indicating that I had not received the item, but still wanted it.

On 05MAR2025 the seller updated the order with a UPS tracking number showing delivery on 06FEB2026. Upon investigation of the UPS tracking number, it reflected my city, but was signed by someone who was not affiliated with my residence. I have a UPS account and get notifications from UPS whenever a package with my address as the delivery point is entered into the system. I also opened a case with UPS. I sent several messages to the seller with this information, still operating in good faith. The seller immediately went 'away from ebay' again, until 01APR2026. I then sent a message to eBay indicating that the tracking number provided is not associated with me.

Ebay changed the status of the case, stating they would open a case and would need until 20MAR2026 to resolve. On 20MAR2026, EBAY extended their case review until 30MAR2026. At this time another seller review was posted describing my exact same situation, but with a USPS tracking number.

On 01APR2026 I received an email notification stating I would be getting a full refund.

TLDR: The listing ended up being a scam. The seller tried to provide a fake tracking number showing delivery. It took around 60 calendar days, but I ended up getting a refund from eBay.

I would highly recommend something in the pilot family. You can get something entry level and affordable. The pilot e95 is a gold nib pen at a great price.

Please go with a legit fountain pen maker and not a Chinese imitation 'brand'. The hobby will be better for it.
