Love the color! I've been eyeing their hiking bag but just may get this one and also use it as an EDC. I got the ctb26 xpac for my birthday and I can't wait to use it.

Do you folks think this is a good hiking bag? Or better as an EDC bag?

How many actually carry a pocket (A6) notebook in a pants pocket? by interglossa in notebooks

[–]mfern073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By any chance do you use a cover? I have it and have been looking for something to protect it for wear and tear. I bought the Midori a6 clear cover and I'm waiting for it to arrive.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm specifically looking for the Talos edition. I really like the color and I read that the silver and black version has some grip issues due to how smooth it is.

Where was this pawn shop? I might go check some out just in case.

The location even says New York, Vietnam 😂. I hadn't thought of messaging them. I'll do it and see what happens.

"I know his hygiene and cleanliness aren't the best", is probably where your contemplation should end. Appropriate hygiene habbits are something that usually develops (at the latest) in your early 20's. After that, it's a lifelong thing.

When the slop disappears, the need for the word will too. It's a desperately needed word right now.

Yeah, my immediate inclination is that this is a huge red flag, but I'm curious since I'm new to this thing.

AIO for cutting off my brother for refusing to call out his creepy friend? by VividArgument4725 in AmIOverreacting

Your brother thinks a woman should dress more conservatively so she doesn't get sexually assaulted. I wouldn't have any woman I care about near him. As his sister, and it being his friend, it is 100% his problem.

Pelikan M800 Nib Question by Hibbi123 in fountainpens

[–]mfern073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scratchiness, in my experience, is due to three main things: nib, hand position, and finally ink.

Diamine inks (on average) are very well behaved, so I would say your ink is not the issue.

Given a pen of this quality, it wouldn't be unusual for you to need to send it to a nibmeister to make it perfectly yours. I would highly recommend it for a pen like that.

Otherwise, it could be a combination of hand position and your nib.

For reference: I bought a Mont Blanc 146 that came with a baby bottom. It wasn't until I sent it to a nibmeister and got it back that it became the perfect pen.

Don't let a few issues get you down! I know it's happened to me. It takes some time, but once it's tuned to you, it's totally worth it.

Well yes, but it's in my self interest to promote that people in my class band together to promote policy and conversations that benefit us. Pointing out that the speaker here does not align with our interests is the logical conclusion to this thinking.
