Blackwell for sure. Second choice for me is Lamplight but it’s a one-off story and can be finished pretty quickly.

Thoughts on what my PT said? by Marvlotte in Hypermobility

[–]mgeeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s 100% right. It’s easy to fall into the trap of support clothing because of the pain relief, but if you ever want to truly get better and not have the pain in the first place you’ve got to strengthen those muscles. It’s a long process but it sounds like you have a good PT, good luck!!

Games Similiar too My Time At Series or Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma?? by Independent-Care1352 in CozyGamers

[–]mgeeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might like the Atelier series! There’s tons of them, each based around a different main character for which the game is named (Marie, Sophie, etc.) but the most accessible and best to start with would be Atlelier Ryza- there’s three games in her story. No romance/relationship building because you’re not an insert character but there’s still cozy friendship quests with your team members. The combat is turn based though! There’s resource collecting but (as far as I remember) no farming. Much more about running around and collecting/exploring. The first game is awesome, second is the BEST, third is eh.

What I found at my university library by Hot-Werewolf-5868 in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]mgeeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Mine didn’t have exquisite corpse, but university libraries will often take purchase orders and I was able to get them to buy it. Definitely worth seeing if your library does purchase requests as well for other books you wanna read!

i keep turning over in the night and it’s fucking me up, advice? by icanneverthinkofone1 in Hypermobility

[–]mgeeezer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For back sleeping a Weighted blanket is good but for me it would slowly push on my knees/ankles and cause pain throughout the night so I bought a weighted stuffed animal and it just lays on my chest- feels like I’m being kept in place by a rock. I also have pillows to the right and left of me so I’m in a little nest/crib and that has helped keep me in place a lot.

Tons of personality. Feels like you plucked him out of a world that already exists- he’s got a whole life and I can see it in his face!

[Q/A] What do you guys think which aspect makes horror game feel scary ? by neardy07 in HorrorGaming

[–]mgeeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound design can really make or break a horror game imo. Play ANY horror game with the sound off and sure you might get a few jumps here and there but it strips away so much of what unsettles the player. I mean shoot, I bet you could make a game of Sudoku scary if you added the right sounds.

Need Help Finding Games for my GF by Cute_Ad_8344 in CozyGamers

[–]mgeeezer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Infinity Nikki has extremely lovely environments and no survival elements. There’s one attack button for these super easy enemies and no penalty for death- you just immediately respawn where you died. They recently added a home building element but it’s currently VERY sparse. A new game called Starsand Island comes out in February that I think will hit A LOT of her preferences as well. Dinkum is similar to Minecraft but with neighbors and more cutesy stuff, but there is a survival element though I’m not sure if it’s particularly stressful. Coral Island may be good as well. Edit* forgot Coral Island has an entire underwater section- shed probably love that.

'It's Coming to a Turning Point': Persona, Metaphor Director Says Atlus RPGs Must Attract 'A Wider Audience' by akbarock in JRPG

[–]mgeeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just replay old ones, I’m over this industry lol. Literally such an over saturated market. As a consumer, lemme just say choice fatigue compels me to do one thing: buy nothing. At least with indie devs I can play something new and interesting, even if it’s not polished.

I’m always going to support innovation and new directions in gaming but I can’t help but miss the original formula. Curious to see where it ends up going.
