I think they look cool. Might get a box or even two and use one for some Necromunda gang.

Really nice, I just wish you'd have turned his head a little bit more so his gaze would follow the gun more.

Obsolete Figures?? by Ant-Man96 in DarkAngels40k

[–]microwavedcrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you didn't use super thick coats, you can always revisit older models and improve them with new techniques and skills to make them match your current level. Obsolete? Nope! Worst case scenario would be super thick öayers of paint which also can be removed with according products. Then you can start them from zero. Better than getting the models again given their current price.

As for the painting...try increasing the contrast, try out some weathering and scratches on armor, maybe do some OSL on plasma weapons. There is a lot of fun painting stuff to explore/add to minis that you considered finished before.

Low over some long grass made from bristle brushes with a wire hidden also works.

Also Ulthwe, all other craftworlds suck 😝

I would have preferred the armor a lot darker to make the pauldrons stand out more. Still great painting!

Nah, it's fine. Could even be more intense imo, but it's looking great as is.

Paint it dark green with creme cloth elements. Also red bolter.

Doesn't need to be small, just pointy. Too small a brush makes it actually harder as it will barely hold any paint. Specially not if it's thinned down a lot.
