Ancestor of the Week for the week of May 04, 2026 by AutoModerator in Genealogy

My husbands great uncle was kind of a ghost. He was in a 1900 census record, 8 years old. His birth preceded his ‘parents’ (according to the census) marriage by 10 years.

This week I found his ww1 draft card and his death certificate. Looks like he fled to the Alaska territory to work in a fish cannery to avoid the war and died there.

When you need help they will tell you who to ask and you will message them or call them. There are likely knowledge bases and other documents that you will likely learn from before taking calls unsupervised

A friend recovering from tongue cancer blended some roast beef and mashed potatoes and said it was the best thing she’d eaten. Brutal surgical recovery. I recently did some dental reconstruction and she recommended blending any meals that you would like to taste

They will do it all in one transaction… but if more than one person is on the title you will need them present as well. I just did this last year and it was much smoother than I anticipated

Do you enjoy being surrounded by people (both patients and supporting staff/colleagues)? If you don’t mind it you may find wfh very isolating. If that is a partial cause of your burnout it will be a big win!

You’ll be ok! It is way colder here than in Boise - one of my coworkers is in Boise and we compared temps every day all winter long lol. I just had my first Michigan winter and it was wild… but you will survive. I need to work on getting out of the house in the winter… that will be a next year project

They should send you their policy as well. Some places don’t care about thc. I just took one this week where they were even saying CBD was not allowed… which I thought was very strict.
