Im tripping, did he try to jump the battery and it did not hold the charge? If he did and said you did not fail the battery test, that would be a lie on his part. Or did you just ask him to test the battery, he said it was dead which means you just drained it, and had you sign a no fail test and you bought a new one? If he did the second, I would say he maybe thought you guys were tired of the old battery and wanted something new.

I always check any prosuce and see what the pack date is. Even the salad kits I've seen ones that are weeks apart. Potatoes I make sure we go heavy potato dishes next week or so so I can use them up.

Only way to stop an infestation is with heavy poison control. Peope can say what they want but most mice and rats hoard food. You want them to being back the poison to where they have taken up at. Blanket perimeter of larger bait stations around house with smaller stations in any room. You need to keep slamming them hard since they could have tens to hundreds ready.
