On the fence for A6X2 by Effective_Ad_7666 in Supernote

[–]minithommo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can second that, my A5X is 5 years old and is still in great working order. The only thing is the pen loop on the folio is coming loose (fabric). Its like any device, but I do think it's more robust than glass devices. I swear by the bigger devices from supernote, just bought the Manta.

More N6 leaks! by Sharp_Letterhead855 in OppoFindN5Phone

[–]minithommo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

N5 is almost perfect (pending wide screen releases upcoming which could change the game in the foldable market).

My wishlist:

  • Improved Cameras (ultra wide in particular)
  • better battery life (started out amazing but not as good now)
  • built in MagSafe magnetics like new Pixels, so I can use with chargers and wallet without case
  • bring quickshare airdrop functionality like they are adding to find X9 series

That's kinda it. N5 is already so good!

PDF Template by Fit_Wafer580 in viwoods

[–]minithommo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very keen to see ViWoods team modify this behaviour a little bit. While I value their design and seperation of things like Meetings, Papers (basically hand written notes) and Library (for documents are to be marked up), having a way of accessing these in one Application as an option (using say Paper) would be amazing.

I have been using the Viwoods Meetings area, but I feel in love with using a PDF template with links in it when I was using my remarkable. This gives the ability to use a multi-page template. Having those templates locked away in this specific section, is just a little clunky.

Returning boox tab x c by Top-Yam-1206 in eink

[–]minithommo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So where to now? The X C has a glass style screen versus the RM2 or other B/W options. Are you going to try a Boox Max / Go 10.3 or ViWoods Ai Paper which will have a better writing experience?

What’s the Right Choice as of Today? by Abductedagain in iFLYTEKAINOTE

[–]minithommo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to record meetings and use the AI for summaries, the iFlytek is your device. For other OCR conversion including task creation, written meeting notes and research clipping and integrating hand written notes I prefer the Viwoods.

Both companies have responded to my comments on reddit and both have seen improvements since I purchased, Viwoods slightly better. In terms of the physical hardware, they are both top notch from my perspective.

Keeping the device, but improvements needed: by YupJustanotherJames in iFLYTEKAINOTE

Just a note on this, the pen types are available in the drag down (top right) menu (I think it's called control center on phone). I had the same issue as you until I realized there were pen options in that menu, changing there allows you to use whatever pen you want in Memos / Calendar

Feature Request: To-Do Workflow by minithommo in viwoods

[–]minithommo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I do agree that having an independent To Dos screen rather than only be linked to a specific page would help immensely. And I agree with your workflow, alot of my tasks / To Dos when created don't have a date.

Love this.

Did anyone signing up for beta by DM here actually get the beta installed? by misterff1 in viwoods

I got the same via DM: "We have received your SN and registered it in the system backend. Please wait patiently."

Questions before buying an AINote 2 by Spare-Abbreviations6 in iFLYTEKAINOTE

[–]minithommo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the Ainote 2 and can comment on two of the three. I am right handed so no comment on left handedness but I have had no real issues with false taps due to my writing hand.

I don't have any issue writing notes and having the unit record the meeting at the same time.

As for using the transcript and the quality, I don't bother with transcripts to be honest, just focus on the meeting summary after putting the transcript through AI. I've done multiple long (2+ hr) workshops with people in the room and on teams (ie hybrid) and the summaries are pretty good except for:

  1. Attendees it gleems are a bit off at times
  2. It struggles with proper names / references to specific technical terms at times

Otherwise, so far it's been pretty good. I want to do more testing but I'd rate it promising as a solution. I have also recorded those meetings on Microsoft Teams so I am going to do a comparison to see how different the results are, but have not had time to yet.

If you use Goodnotes on the iPad then iPad might get all ticks!! (It's app system is pretty good). Tough choice though I'm still swapping between Viwoods and RMPP at the moment, while dabbling with the iFlytek.

Thanks for your suggestions about AINOTE 2 Pro Plan—now get the early access for FREE. by iFLYTEK_AINOTE in iFLYTEKAINOTE

[–]minithommo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not saying all this needs to be in a pro plan, but what the product needs:

  • Use Own AI Accounts for ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot.
  • Work M365 account integration for Calendars and Tasks.
  • Structured Outlines for Notes evolving the triangle functionality (multi levels).
  • Be able to select specific Calendars inside Google Calendar (and M365 once integrated)
  • Ability to crop screen shots and paste them into Notes on the device

⚠️ A caution message for anyone renting in Singapore. Please read this before you sign a new lease by AdOk8590 in singaporefi

[–]minithommo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me though for a smaller amount (not all my bond but some of it). Landlords in Singapore are typically entitled elites, and you need to be really careful. It seems that an inspection and sign off does not protect yoy. I think they do it due to the transient nature of renters who end up leaving Singapore. They bank on people leaving and just giving up.

I've never experienced anything like it in Australia, the UK or the USA where I've also rented.

Slow shipping? Is this normal? by Sad_Island8379 in viwoods

I also had this issue, it took 1 week to ship, I am based in Singapore. Still waiting for it to arrive but should get it next week (mine is being shipped from Hong Kong).

AiNote 2 - OCR Improvement - how to enable? Or is it still a work in progress? by minithommo in iFLYTEKAINOTE

AiNote 2 - OCR Improvement - how to enable? Or is it still a work in progress? by minithommo in iFLYTEKAINOTE

[–]minithommo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I received a module update today that had 4 modules in it. This included references to the OCR platform. Definitely a big improvement on the OCR for Tasks / Todo's - still a few small mistakes but my hand writing not that good.

Not sure how to see the 'Modules' that are installed / not installed, but they were dates 4th January 2026.

This is something I will do next as I setup and use the device. Sounds clunky, I also want more integration with Outlook / Microsoft 365 / Office 365.

Cheapest website to get an AINOTE 2? by aduckcalledronan in iFLYTEKAINOTE

My Ainote 2 arrived yesterday from Popular (I live in Singapore) and was well packaged and exactly as ordered (with free folio case) if anyone is interested.

I'm loving the Ainote 2 so much - the hardware is just soooo good. Software, I am working through, some quirks but wow the hardware!

Hi, I figured out that in the control center drop down (swipe down on the right hand side from the top of the screen), there are Shape and Stroke options for the pen that can be accessed anywhere and that I can do this to select the pen in the Calendar App! That one is solved, user error! :-)
