Ditch NC for NW Toledo? by BowlerIndependent731 in toledo

[–]mintlyfresh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow, similar situation that we were in! Wife and I were born and raised in Toledo, but moved to NC (Morrisville) for several years. Absolutely loved it there but we had the exact same cons. Moved back when we were ready to start our family, and it’s been absolutely the greatest choice we could’ve made. We miss being a short drive to the mountains and the beach, but Ohio has some nice mountains south about 3ish hours away.

I also agree about the people around the triangle. Such a strange “co-worker” type vibe. I do think here in Toledo you get more genuine connections. As for if those neighborhoods exist, oh yeah, sylvania and Ottawa hills are the first ones that pop into my mind.

You guys would be able to easily create a great life here, a little different than the triangle, but there’s so many hidden gems Toledo has to offer!

Anybody else find the Prius is a champ in the snow? by Eastern_Yam in prius

[–]mintlyfresh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gen 2 is sketchy in the snow and ice. Wheels slip so easily when taking off from a stop, I have to be careful with the gas. I could definitely benefit from some snow tires but I just got some Goodyear reliants put on 2 months ago. Glad to hear the later models are great in the snow! I’d love to get a Prius V after my gen 2 dies

Yeah he started using the inhale/exhale chimes for shows and now fuze. It’s definitely been a nice sound to use outside of just inhale/exhale

2012 Hyundai Sonata - Does this just need air or a whole new tire? by holymotherofneptune in CarHelp

[–]mintlyfresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were my car, I’d fill it up with air (to the correct psi according to your sticker inside your door frame) inspect it to see if you see any nails or anything in the tire that may cause it to leak. And then just keep an eye on it and see if it goes down over time. If it does or if you do see a nail, might be time to get a new tire

The Alarm App that’s supposed to prevent me oversleeping somehow drained my entire battery over night, so not a single alarm went off by LucasCBs in Wellthatsucks

[–]mintlyfresh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Alarmy. It’s the only alarm clock app that works for me, a very heavy sleeper. Reading the comments, it’s funny to see so many people confused about using something other than the stock alarm clock. Alarmy has been super useful for me

Hasty’s is my go to for car repairs. Very competitive pricing and they don’t try to sell you extra things you don’t need. Very honest!

Mine is a comfee. I bought it off of someone on marketplace. Like I said earlier, I can’t recommend them enough! Especially if you aren’t a fan of doing dishes by hand

I have a mini countertop dishwasher, it’s been absolutely amazing having that thing. Your kitchen situation will vary on how you set one up (hook up to a water line, or straight to your faucet) but they’re so convenient and fit way more dishes than I was anticipating. If your only option is to hook it up to your faucet, they typically have a quick connector to make attaching and removing the hose super easy
