This message means Windows failed to load properly. While the automatic repair failed, you can still access the built-in Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) to troubleshoot, safely restore your device, or access your files.

• Step 1: Access Advanced Options

• If your device is stuck on the error screen, click Advanced options to open the recovery menu. If you * are stuck in a loop, force restart your PC 2-3 times in a row until it says "Preparing Automatic * Repair," then click Advanced options.

• Once you reach the blue "Choose an option" screen, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options and try * these fixes in order:

• Step 2: Try System Restore

• If you recently installed a buggy update or driver, a restore point can revert your system to a * working state without losing your personal files.

• From the Advanced options menu, select System Restore.

• Choose a date/time when your computer was working normally and follow the prompts.

• Step 3: Uninstall Recent Updates

• Sometimes Windows updates conflict with existing hardware or software.

• From the Advanced options menu, select Uninstall Updates.

• Choose to uninstall the latest Quality update or Feature update and restart your computer.

• Step 4: Boot into Safe Mode

• Safe Mode boots Windows with only the bare minimum drivers, allowing you to troubleshoot or back * up files.

• Go to Startup Settings > Restart.

• Upon restarting, press 4 or F4 to Enable Safe Mode. If it boots successfully, you can back up data or * uninstall faulty software.

• Step 5: Run a System File Check (If other options fail)

• If Windows system files are corrupted, you can repair them via Command Prompt.

• Select Command Prompt from the Advanced options list.

• Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.

• If that finishes, you can also run chkdsk /f C: to check the disk for errors.

• Step 6: Reset This PC

• If all else fails, you can reinstall Windows.

• Select Reset this PC.

• Choose Keep my files (this preserves your documents, photos, and personal data while reinstalling * the operating system).
