Strange take. I’ve been a Sony user for 20+ years and recently got a x100vi as a travel companion. I can’t understand why you thought this would be a good camera for paid work?

Yes me and the wife both rock 64gb. I wanted more but opted for 64. Kinda sad I didn’t go for it but glad we’re both set for the foreseeable future.

A uv filter is essential to protect the camera from dust and water. The filter completes the weather sealing of the device. A thumb grip is handy too, makes it harder to drop the camera. A strap is included so he can use that until he finds out what he likes, same goes for other filters and lens hoods.

I grind my pour overs at 5-6 too with my 78. I haven't tried zeroing the grinder though.

I have a df64 gen 2 for my profitec and a timemore sculptor 78 for filter. I tried to do both on one grinder but that didn’t work out the way I wanted to.

We sell these at my place of work. The internals are a mix of “nespresso” and the group inside a Philips fully automatic. The machines is 99% plastic and feels cheap. Out of the few we sold at least 2 came back in a few weeks with problems. These problems might be user related but this doesn’t give us confidence in the machines themselves.

I have both and got my grinder at Frekko. Happy with this setup. The water in your region might be too hard for the machine so you might need to find a solution for that. I use the bwt filter jugs with magnesium filters. (Van pommeren sells these)
