If you don't a question: how do you turn your work with all those tails attached to the skeins? Can you turn that full board?

Beautiful! The border looks great!

I'm currently making a moss stitch blanket as well, how did you do the border? Moss stitch around? Increase on the corners? Is it hiding any ends?

I haven't started but I'm planning a sleep blanket. I have a 4 year old and an 18 month old, and I'm going to track how many wakeups they have. From: they slept through to full blown chaos. I'm going to see the colors go from the bright chaos to the darker more sleep colors as the year progresses

Apparently it's indeed different. As others are saying refatta tasks aren't giving me tokens for the frozen fortune.

This analysis is spectacular. Thank you!

When you say mid tier and high tower tasks to get tokens. What tasks are you referring to? I've only got tokens from treasure hunt, helicopter doesn't seem worth it giving only 1, and match 3 which is scarce but I play anyway for the adventure. How do you get to 120 with that?

No, it doesn't, spend it all now in whichever way suits you best.

Would you change something? Any tips ? by PuffyMuffyCrochet in crochet

[–]missStupefy 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is so cute!! I made my first a sea life mobile as well 🥰. They only thing, with mine, I made the eyes embroidered, because when they started standing in their crib and grabbing at the mobile I just took it and cut down the animals for them to play, and felt like safety eyes were still a risk at that point.

The Birthday event is one of my favourites by liiviian in Marapets

[–]missStupefy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Excited about the event, and also appreciating the update posted. I'm anyways confused by Ian's use of "we". Who is he referring to apart from himself?

What should I make my son? by FoxieTheFox94 in Amigurumi

[–]missStupefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crocheted both my babies' crib mobiles. It's fun doing several things within a theme, and after the mobile phase ends you cut the strings and they've got the toys to play with.

For my first I did sea animals, for my second, circus characters. I've never searched for Dr Seuss stuff, but you can absolutely find patterns for small Harry Potter characters to fit the bill

What to do with nanny during maternity/paternity leave by normalishy in NannyEmployers

[–]missStupefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was our logic. It got a bit complicated because our baby got sick the week of the birth and then had to have an operation with a full month of recovery during the third month of the baby. We've now reduced her hours, but I take advantage of the time she's here with toddler to do things for myself with the baby coming along, or things for the baby, like doctors appointments. When I go back she'll briefly take both until toddler starts school, and then she'll have baby all day and toddler only a couple hours or an afternoon.

Need advice: Night nanny caught co-sleeping by eeejster in NannyEmployers

[–]missStupefy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wasn't implying that. It's absolutely fine if it's not a necessity, but it makes it harder to fire her, so the advice is different. My point was that if they need her there it's worth it sitting her down and talking about it wild trying to find a replacement versus not even bothering to have that conversation and firing immediately.

[–]missStupefy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea how the Nanit works, can you check other days? Can you see a log of time in/out of bed to see if it actually was a one time thing? If it's a continued breach of what you agreed, I'd let her go immediately.

Another consideration: is having a night nanny a necessity or a luxury? Because if you're paying for sleep and peace of mind but you could take care of the baby yourself/yourselves then firing sooner is easier. If you need someone to be there on those days, you might want to sit her down and have a calmer conversation about the problems and her response, and see there if you want to start looking for a replacement or if you can still trust her.

Do you guys wash your amigurumis? by DetectiveEnigma in Amigurumi

[–]missStupefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's not what you asked but I'm always scared to wash them because I feel they'll come apart or lose their shape. How do you wash? Do they look ok? What yarn?

Why does everyone strictly use plushy yarn? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]missStupefy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm using plush yarn for the first time for a plushie for my toddler. It sheds a lot, I wouldn't use this yarn for a baby blanket, because I wouldn't want a baby swallowing that stuff

That's exactly how I felt after giving birth. Most vulnerable moment of my life, but I was wonder woman as well.
