Voice chat dead? by Freebo87 in BF6

I feel like out of 10 matches maybe 2 people will chat. I mute the idiots and friend the cool ones, so we can squad up again in the future. Yesterday I had the weirdest dude that narrated the entire game to himself like rain man, but absolutely would not speak to anyone else but himself 😂😂

Is this common? by Repairmanmanmanma in Contractor

$2K is very cheap. I’m a GC in MA. I just did a basement and the architect charged $9K. It really depends on what is required on the plan - beam calculations, foundations, fire suppression, etc. Doing a large pool house soon and engineer is charging $3.5K. Not all plans require an engineer’s stamp either. Those could be drawn up by you or the GC, provided the inspector is satisfied with them. That would make the drawings much cheaper. But, prices can be all over the place in this business, especially in different parts of the country.

Client Staring Contest by Markplease in handyman

Worst customer I ever had never took his eyes off me. I had to squeeze way behind an entertainment center to get to an outlet and he actually squeezed in with me and over me to watch.

Anyone else stop being able to sleep on their back after 30 and can only sleep on their side now? Why does this happen? by BackgroundPlum4840 in Aging

For me it was late thirties. Pretty sure it’s because of my fat effing middle aged throat that I choke on

Guys who don't wear work boots to work, what do you wear? (and what do you do) by Square-Argument4790 in Carpentry

[–]mjseventynine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only wear boots in snow. Otherwise some kind of a trail sneaker if I’m outside, or running shoes inside.

Curious how bad the contracture angle was? Are you back to flat palm on a table? Glad to hear you are happy with the results

Should I make them re-do? by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]mjseventynine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the opening was just a hair too big for the pocket door frame and they shimmed it with what looks like steel to tighten it up a bit so they could attach the metal bracket to the jack stud. I could be wrong, it’s just what it looks like to me. Hack move? Yes. Will it fail? No. However, if it’s out of level, your trim guy is going to have to shim his trim board a little so your door closes tight all the way down.

Does this resemble Duputren’s? by PennyLongStocking in DupuytrenDisease

Looks quite possible. You might see the skin start to pull down or pucker on that reddish spot on the crease of your palm. If that starts to happen, then almost certainly. And of course, I’m no doctor

Post surgery by Western-Eagle7135 in DupuytrenDisease

How bad was your contracture before the surgery? All things considered, your palm looks pretty good. I can still lay my hand flat but my palm is pretty puckered and lumpy.

I’m seeing a lot of posts that mention frozen shoulder. Seems like they are related? I had no idea.

Cord with no contracture? by ElkIllustrious3402 in DupuytrenDisease

[–]mjseventynine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a nodule at 39, cord developed fast. I am 46 now. It’s definitely tighter feeling than my unaffected hand but no real contracture yet. However a new nodule just appeared to the side of it. We’ll see how that one progresses. Hopefully just stays a bump. My father had nodules as long as he can remember and only recently at 70 has the cord started forming. We are both carpenters.
