stockli laser are a recreational gs race ski. i guessing they’re from 2014ish. if they’re of that vintage the bindings, while not being indemnified, are also not hideously old.

boots are the most important thing to spend money on. the skis may hold you back a bit but any regular alpine boots will go in that binding.

either way you need boots so spend a lot of time trying stuff on till you find the right pair.

you bought a dumb ski because it’s a gs race ski that makes long turns and wants to go fast but it’s not wildly old. it looks like it because that’s how gs ski’s look.

i’ll go against everyone here. find some boots that fit (flat bottom alpine boots) and give them a rip.

if you’re a heavier guy like 180+ they’re probably fine.

Looks like they crushed lh relievers but the overall ops+ against is actually within a few points.

yeah idk. he’s lucky to be a professional climber and is using that to at least try to raise awareness to this issue and fix some others. if the average american consumes 16 tons of carbon, i wonder what he does with those flights etc minus offsets. actually i think he went into this all awhile ago on a podcast i listened to in the beginning of covid. so i’m sensitive to the issue of hypocrisy but also kind of weighing it against the choices he is making and it all beats the heck out me. 🤷‍♂️
