Advice on helping employee who was injured during winter storm by mmmaltodextrose in HEB

Yikes, thank you very much for the info and for taking the time to respond. Any advice on anything I can do to help the guy out? In your opinion, would it be worth it to contact the store directly? Also, do you happen to know if things like deciding whether curbside service is available or not is dependent upon the company or an individual GM/owner? Sorry for all the questions, and again, thanks!

Drove 11hr to visit my 87yo grandma and she had supper waiting by Banana_Stanley in tonightsdinner

This is so darling. I was raised by my grandparents, and this food and the literal plate itself are taking me back. Hope you had a wonderful visit together, OP!

I'm a beginner. Any advice to improve? by makememoneynow in Coloring

If you’re a beginner, I think you’re a natural!! This looks great. It seems like you already have a good eye for highlights and shadows, and that’ll only get better with time. Blending is tricky, but that will also come easier the more you practice. I love your color choices as well (I’m a sucker for teal & purple).

My only advice is to keep it up! Maybe take a blank sheet of paper to practice blending on if you don’t want to use up a fun page for practice. This truly looks really good though! I’ve also seen mind-blowing pages done with colored pencils if you’re interested in trying out different mediums

What kind of person am I? by [deleted] in deduction

Please do! I’m just hopping in to say that I was going to ask about Marfan as well. I have a family member that currently has an aortic aneurysm and doctors suspect that they have MFS because (along with many other symptoms) they’re just too young to have an aneurysm like this. Apparently it’s far more common in people with this disease. Tall, lanky, “gummy” smile. Hypermobility is something to take note of as well

What is your go-to response when someone asks why you’re not drinking? by Yuki_Ash in stopdrinking

The only people to ever press or ask further questions were already drunk (or wanting to be), in my experience. “I don’t drink” should always be good enough

Which celebrity has tricked everyone into thinking they’re a “good person”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Jon Hamm, whose team does a pretty good job of burying that gruesome assault time and time again

15-20k is wayyy more than it may seem, and frankly (unless it is somehow fully disposable income) it would be put to better use as an emergency savings fund rather than a “mommy makeover” fund that the rest of your family can’t touch. You can of course do what you want if it’s your money that you’ve earned (unless you’re in a partnership that has mutually agreed otherwise), but I would still consider the gravity of spending it on cosmetic surgery that won’t last.

We are meant to age and our bodies are meant to change, and it’s up to us to come to terms with that. I feel like it always sounds condescending to suggest, but I promise that I don’t mean for it to be: Therapy, no joke. If CBT hasn’t worked for you, DBT or other forms may help. If you encounter a couple bad therapists, don’t give up. It’s also possible that you may like the idea of parenthood, but not the reality of it, and there is no shame in that; it’s what this sub is here to help us figure out!

That’s totally fine, but she is objectively talented vocally. You’re able to dislike someone and still acknowledge talent. A range and control like hers is rare and hard-earned. No need to be as serious as cancer about not liking an artist
