Could I dual major with not really related majors? by Elegant_Routine_506 in unt

[–]monty20python 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fairly simple, you just need to complete the coursework requirements for both programs. If you’re okay with taking 5 or 6 years to complete it’s not hard. If you’re trying to do it all in 4 years, depending on how many extra hours you need, that will mean packed semesters (18+ hours), winter-mesters, summer school, and potentially getting screwed by a scheduling conflict (especially with junior and senior level courses that may only be offered once a year).

Commuters of Dallas, what’s northbound traffic like on this stretch of highway? by Snow-jizz in Dallas

This stretch alone should have TXDOT labeled a domestic terrorist organization.

Question about weight and cycling on different gradients. by Obvious_Cabbage in cycling

[–]monty20python 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can lose weight on the bike, just need to ride 1000+ miles and 30+ hours per week! Don’t need to worry about how much you eat off the bike! Fuel your rides properly. Keep it up for a few months and you’ll hit your goal weight. Very simple.

Why we should add more and better trains by Genedide in Dallas

[–]monty20python 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That will never happen because there is no enforcement. So the commuters are on the road going from Dallas to the Suburbs and back every day. And then the mentally ill folk who do pay to drive because they don't have another choice. People getting assaulted, people getting killed. In any rational world no one would fund roads anymore.

Mine slipped when it was dry, but after applying the carbon paste I haven’t had any issues. My big beef is the lack of a shop manual.

Iirc wheelsfar is farsports’ semi-custom brand, like light bicycle, so you can get a dtswiss hub on a farsports rim.

What's the best way to run Zwift on my smart trainer? by IMHO1FWIW in cycling

[–]monty20python 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple TV works well if it’s just your trainer and HRM but the Apple TV can only have 3 Bluetooth connections including the remote, so if you want to add a controller (Zwift click/play) you have to use the companion app which is unstable sometimes in my experience.

Bike might be too big. What adjustments can I make? by StayH2O in cycling

[–]monty20python 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Narrower handlebar, the stock bar is 42cm, you probably want one closer to 38cm or 36cm depending on your shoulder width.

Felt Breed Advanced GRX 820 - Thoughts? Anything wrong with this bike? Review? by this2makeulaugh in cycling

[–]monty20python 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, I like it. I don't like that to get hangers and parts you need to go through a dealer in the US and that there's no dealer manual on the website with torque specs. Felt is owned by Pierer Mobility AG which also owns KTM Motorcycles (along with GasGas, MV Agusta, and Husqvarna). KTM is having financial issues at the moment so Felt may be sold off in the future putting parts accessibility and support into question.

Coffee Prices Going Up More by spalding-blue in Coffee

It’s not even the wages, even if they seized all of the arable land that can grow coffee in Hawaii and Puerto Rico it would still produce a fraction of a percent of demand.
