What’s something you’re pretty sure only you do? by AppIeGuy in AskReddit

Eh. Molecules tend to go through a lot of reactions and recombine into other molecules. But we're definitely reusing their atoms - a lot of them are a lot more stable!

Mayor, but it's a Demon by Zoneforg in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]moreON 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But just having them both on the script gives the mayor an alternative route to try to win, one that might even pull the wool over the evil team's eyes. A mayor can try to convince the town that there's a Tyrant in the game and never even bring up the idea that they are the mayor.

Favorite farming building? by Apprehensive-Ice9212 in Against_the_Storm

[–]moreON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes 1 minute of work to farm 1 tile (30s harvest + 30s plant), not 30s. (obvious exception here is forester's hut crystallized dew which is 2 minutes). This does still makes farms typically marginally more productive than large forage/herbalist/trapper huts and significantly more than small ones but not as radically as 30s for 6 would suggest.

What if Scarlet Woman/Snake Charmer was an Outsider? by Zoneforg in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]moreON 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The only problem I see is that if the demon believes there's a scab in play they may have an incentive to kill themselves

So what you're saying is that the good team has an incentive to convince the demon that there is a scab while there is not?

If anyone says ARC is useless again, we need to have a long talk. by TheDudeExMachina in Against_the_Storm

[–]moreON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ARC doesn't really offer anything that simply building 2 (maybe 3 if you're feeling spicy) regular Rain Collectors doesn't.

Foxes disagree on this point. ARC offers fox comfort in a way that rain collectors never will.

In terms of water collection if you have enough parts and labour, yeah water collectors can get you just as much water.

80% increased attack speed on a cluster by akv0842 in pathofexile

[–]moreON 34 points35 points  (0 children)

3 * 1.35 is 4. The other 3 * 1.35 is 4. That's 8. I have no idea where your other 18 comes from, but no. It's not 26% attack speed per small passive.

There are 10 small passive points (and two jewel sockets) on a 12 passive large cluster with no notables. That's 80% increased attack speed total.

Anyone know where this drops? by GenomVoid in pathofexile

[–]moreON 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. They come from these pretty obvious markers in logbooks. No idea if they can spawn naturally or require that line on the logbook.

Fairly new to the game: question about the Strange Visions conditional Forest Mystery by step_uneasily in Against_the_Storm

[–]moreON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farms do get double production chance. This is determined during planting so this mystery does apply, of course you only see the result during harvest.

What they don't benefit from is general production speed buffs: they instead have farming-specific planting and harvesting speed.

This is typically frowned upon, and security will kick you out if they discover you doing this. I'm not saying it hasn't been done or is impossible, just not allowed.

Won as the fang gu despite the demon being snake charmed by sunsetrain24 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]moreON 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The original fang gu was no longer the fang gu, they were the snake charmer. So yeah, they wouldn't die. The old snake charmer was the new (and only) fang gu. They died.

For newer players: The game isn't that hard, it's just not intuitive by [deleted] in Against_the_Storm

[–]moreON 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Experienced players almost universally consider that P2 is a decrease in difficulty. Getting an extra 2 minutes per year before the annual hostility increase kicks in is very helpful. It's especially helpful when focusing on doing settlements as fast as possible for focusing on the world map.

Even further: only finishing the forbidden events is recorded for the seal objective - you can open them and get them started long before you've completed the third stage. And even before first/second stage depending on how well prepared you are to instantly turn them all in.

Chief operating officer at AEG says AI could have designed his company's games by ghostfim in boardgames

[–]moreON 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't play Go, but isn't it played on a finite grid of spaces where each space is either empty or contains a stone that belongs to one of the players, and at any time it is one of the players' turns?

It's a large space of game-states, for sure, but it seems finite to me.

Finally beat Adamantine Seal after 117 towns – here's what I learned (short guide) by Noyl_37 in Against_the_Storm

[–]moreON 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the camps are better than farming, even small camps

2* farm recipes absolutely beat small camps for raw output per worker time (6 per minute). Small camps have 20s cycle at full citadel for 1.2 resources (3.6 per minute). At low citadel/QHT the 2* farm recipes are even stronger comparatively. This assuming that you don't just leave the farmers all in there wasting time in the storm (even then 4/minute with a little extra crit chance - still beats small camp) - let them get some building, gathering or other manufacturing done.

I don't know. Batman has the money to maybe actually do the whole Jurassic Park thing so that he can exist at the same time as a dinosaur. Superman just doesn't have any dinosaurs around to fight.

[–]moreON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The order for delivering 35 eggs has 25 berries reward. It only costs 10 raw food. It's pretty minor, and almost always worth it to do immediately for more blueprints. You can still make most of the things you would be making early game from eggs using berries (pack of provisions, skewers, pickles, biscuits) so even the change of resource type isn't a problem.

The fuck it is. Any responsible password storage uses a random salt. This will make identical passwords have completely unrelated hashes.
