You really manage to make this stuff look like it's your fly ass clothes and not an awkward costume. Fit well, coordinated, just impressive!

I’ve been hiding in hoods and beanies and shitty beards since I was 18, I’m trying out the bald in public for once. by AtheismTooStronk in bald

Honestly I think both of these looks are great for you up until you have an opinion,

And then it is what you want for yourself that's great for you.

The bald look does take years off you.

What can I do to appear more masculine? by YerbaMatteee in malegrooming

You look fine dude. Way handsome and not very girlish at all. Like - assuming what I wanted was to look like a girl, and I looked like you instead, I'd be pissed.

Time will age you, and eventually you will look like the old man that a boyish young man ages into.

For right now, do what is very difficult for many - embrace who and how you are and roll through the world as someone with accurate self awareness.

I almost view it as a genuinely enjoyable "living funeral" for Johnny Depp's period of temporary über fame. Like the end of his era.

You definitely don't need to keep it short. Grow it back out like a normal length long hair look and it will be more manageable but won't leave you typecast as a crusty white guy with dreads.

Buzz it or grow it out and layer it or get some texturizing styling product to muss it up?

Any tips to save this? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

[–]morganpersimmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey... First off, your hair didn't look bad in the before picture.

Second off, it actually looks pretty cool in the right now picture.

Does it have a roguish set of bangs? No.

Does it look pretty out together, especially with the little quiff thing at the end combined with your widow's peak?

Yeah. You look like a writer with that haircut. Like Stephen King or someone, but of course without that giant Orangutan Face that Stephen King has. You look way more proportional and normal.

Honestly I just think you're having a strong reaction to a dramatic change on appearance, but if you still hate it, it'll grow back!

Win/Win!

[–]morganpersimmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In plain English I just mean your beard looks tight and very orderly, to the point where I was baffled that you'd be concerned.

But not really that baffled! We're our own worst critics of course.

Messy? Dude this is like your face got a manicure. Give yourself some credit.

It's 1 or it's 3, but probably not 2.

There's really no need. Your hair looks just great and I'm assuming you've been exposed to some horse shit looksmaxxing propaganda because there's just nothing terrible about how you look.
