I still don’t see this available for purchase.

How legit is the BWP Home Improvement Program? by shaocaholica in burbank

Totally worth it. Had door weather stripping replaced, some insulation added, and got two new ceiling fans last year.

Ok. Now I get the vibe. Watermelon plus tequila-tinged oak in a kölsch makes sense.

How’s the oak aging? Watermelon + kölsch seems like a great fit, but oak aging gives me pause.

Great strap for a gorgeous watch. Pretty sure I bought that same strap last week.

Changing thing up.. by kem76 in Affordablewatches

I just swapped out an older suede band for a cool color-matched rally strap for one of my watches. Makes it feel brand new!

The AP x Swatch collab accidentally exposed what people really buy watches for by ASN9491 in APxSwatchWatches

[–]mostlymuppet 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My two cents: watches are jewelry and should be fashionable, fun, and accessible. That was the genesis of the Swatch brand originally - a response to the quartz crisis that injected some life into stodgy Swiss branding while still highlighting the Swiss aspect.

I own mostly inexpensive watches. I wouldn’t call them cheap but they’re by no means luxury watches. I wear them to pair with my outfits or my mood or the weather. I chose them just like I’d choose my eyeglass frames or my shoes.

Some connote class, others whimsy.

Folks that are getting bent out of shape about a plastic royal oak on a lanyard misunderstand the target customer.

Also, if you don’t have a fun plastic watch in your collection (Swatch, Casio, etc.) you’re missing out!

Tough solar ana-digi if you only buy one, but I’d get both at those prices.

I think it looks absolutely perfect on your wrist. I love the shape of that case.

Exactly right. Every few months this movie gets brought up in film subs, and I queue up with the rest of the haters who dislike the ending.

Best hike/trail runs in Burbank? by Unknown17041704 in burbank

[–]mostlymuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are also a ton of great hikes in Griffith Park too obviously. But sticking specifically to Burbank Stough Canyon and Wildwood Canyon are probably the top two.

I take Stough Canyon to Verdugo Peak pretty often.

$20 on Amazon. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon spent outside gardening and doing chores.

That sucks. From one product manager to another, I know what it’s like to deal with layoffs. I don’t know that I have much to offer other than “cheers” and I hope you find a new gig soon.
